Isn’t the Austria plant technically not a bmw plant? What I mean is the plant builds Mercedes and other vehicles as well? Not 100 percent sure but that’s what I am thinking.
Yes, true. They usually add a few new colors and sometimes discontinue some as well. Really all depends. You can always custom order the individual paints that aren’t on a particular model but that costs extra of course.
I used to own a 997 gt3 with manual and switched to a 991.2 gt3 RS with the PDK. Of course that’s the only transmission available. At first I thought I might regret but not at all, never looked back. Don’t get me wrong, I would drive manual again but I see both have advantages and disadvantages...
Haha my bad, I reread my posts, I was typing real quick and made a mistake. I was referring to me driving the LS500. I do know as a fact that that car, RX, LX, have the door knob. I apologize.
You did state none of the lexuses use that sort of lock, however ; )
Anyways, I am done here, don’t...
I am not arrogant, lol. I was simply stating I was driving a Lc500 last wk.
Go look at the lexus cars I mentioned.....
You claim that no lexuses have that sort of lock, I stated the cars I’ve mentioned that do.
Go look again, I was just driving a LC500 last wk = )
In fact the LFA started it.
I’m willing to take bets if you like lol
Not talking “old” Lexuses either, the new ones like RX, LC500, LS, and updated LX570 interior.
Here’s a BMW f80 M3, if you are completely nit picky it’s not entirely “flush” but close lol. I assume the Supra will be similar. We shall see.
Incorrect. I’ve been in a handful of new lexuses, it’s a knob, a small knob that locks and unlocks like Mercedes and BMW. The only ones that aren’t are the old IS, GS, GX, NX. Even the updated LX570 interior has the knob
This is the interior of the Lexus LC500, if you look closely it is locked and all the way down. Newer cars go flush, Porsche, Audi, VW, Italian cars don’t even have a lock “knob” just the button to unlock and lock the car.
Lol. Gotcha! I believe when it is locked it goes flush though. I used to have a 2009 S550 and the lock looked like a 91 Corolla protruding out even when locked lol
Well, back in the day as in 97 and 98 you could buy a Camaro Z28/SS, or trans am for mid 20’s and have better performance or equal to the mk4 Supra I recall. Those cars were making 320 hp with 5.7 V8’s. Stock vs stock of course.
So, really nothing new here
Ha! Modern Lexuses have the locks similar to bmw and Mercedes now. Those are the only German manufacturers to do that, the GTR has the lock on top as well.
Imo, I prefer it that way, I think the way Japanese cars and Korean cars do it with the locks on the door handle are cheap looking. Each...
