Cool. Show me who can port flash a modern BMW. I'll wait. You have a 8 year old previous possibly previous previous gen. I never said you can't run a piggy back JB4 on top of the OBD flash, that isn't the point.
Sorry, chief YOU are wrong. My tuner is the largest BMW tuner in the state and...
I always wanted to like the 86. I love a proper RWD coupe focused on weight, but I do need some power. I think of this car as the car the 86 should of been. We are going the way of hybrids and electric. Toyota is giving us a 2 seater RWD sports car. I am thankful and excited. The MKIV was really...
It's shaping up to be a great drivers car. I would of preferred a manual and a DCT, but oh well, these are the times.
It's still shaping up to be a proper 2 seat RWD sports car. Early reviews are commenting on the balance. It won't match the Cayman, but nothing can for the money.
B9 S4 ECU has still yet to be cracked. As for BMW, OBD2 flashing is near impossible on new models. JB4 dominates the world and will probably dominate all Euro tuning in a few years. RS cars have easier ECUs to work with than the MK7 VW Golf Simos ECUs.
As much as I love this car being talked...
The Q50/60 red sport is what we don't want with the new Z. The issue has always been the chassis. The red sports are not very good drivers car. They have a lovely engine, with a transmission that can't keep up and are way too heavy.
A new Z has been rumored for awhile. If nothing happens at...
Gorgeous. Crazy to think they were able to match the structural rigidity of the LFA, without the use of Carbon. I think this A90 is going to be something else in terms of a drivers car
You must come from the old school. The new generation ECU's are incredibly complex computers. Nobody is doing stand alone's and port flashing is nearly impossible. The JB4 from Burger Motorsports has taken over BMW tuning almost entirely. That is a piggyback device that allows canbus access...
Sorry to waste your time, but is the ZF box basically confirmed? So, no double clutch?? I saw it was ZF, then all of a sudden it was double clutch, and now people are mentioning ZF again
Supra was so very underappreciated for it's handling. It had so much grip, despite its weight. Considering 90s tire tech as well
From Wiki
The stock A80 Supra chassis has also proven an effective platform for roadracing, with several top 20 and top 10 One Lap of America finishes in the SSGT1...
Only car that I can remember having as much hype as this platform, was the R35. That run up to the Tokyo motor show was something else. Wow did the aesthetics disappoint. It may have aged better, it was not well looked upon at launch
This can not be underestimated for tuning. The MQB platform (VW and Audi) are one of the most popular and arguably the best for the money in the game right now. Interesting to note - The new RS3 has a less complicated ECU than a 2015 GTI. Where as something like a BMW is pretty much impossible...
Clarkson loves the LFA. He had a soulmate bonding experience with it. The new NSX was supposed to be more like the LFA.... Global financial crisis took many causalities.
Yes! No reason to freak out over power as well. This will be an easy 400-450 whp car with a downpipe and tune. For the drag racers, that is good for 10 second passes between 120-125 on slicks.
