The A80 was sold in Japan for 1993-2002, USA for 1993-1998, Canada for 1994-1997 and other countries for 1993-1996.

This can not be underestimated for tuning. The MQB platform (VW and Audi) are one of the most popular and arguably the best for the money in the game right now. Interesting to note - The new RS3 has a less complicated ECU than a 2015 GTI. Where as something like a BMW is pretty much impossible to OBD flash, which is why we see the piggyback JB4 running the tuning game.

Sending off the ECU is a major PITA. Hoping for a COBB type solution is going to be the major hope for this platform
As someone running a 2009 BMW with a obd back-end flash and a friend with a 2014 bmw with a backend/OBD flash....you're just wrong. JB4 works in tandem with obd flashes.

Anybody on here live in the 5 boroughs of New York or out in long island? If so, who do you plan on ordering your Supra from? I just bought a Camry XSE from huntington, not a fan of that dealership. The red seats though

Would love to replace my 86 with a Supra as soon as it comes out, but all the talk about different engines and GR versions and no date certainty is making me nervous... Just like many 86 owners, I'm already pissed about many aspects of the strategy and "new" versions/facelifts with 86/BRZ. I sincerely hope they learnt their lesson. This goes our for all OE's, I extremely hate it when they talk about possibility of new engines, new styling and all the suspense. You buy the first one off the line and 1 year later bam. new engine. new accessories, for Supra manual transmission option?. new hud, new bumper style... I'm in automotive industry, and god damn it people make up your mind, do the marketing, the 5 year plan right, give people options upfront. it'll drive the sales up for sure. When FRS first came out, there was absolutely no factory accessories or packages, not even a Xenon option or a spoiler! /*rant off*/
Anyways looking forward to owning a Supra!

Cool. Show me who can port flash a modern BMW. I'll wait. You have a 8 year old previous possibly previous previous gen. I never said you can't run a piggy back JB4 on top of the OBD flash, that isn't the point.

Sorry, chief YOU are wrong. My tuner is the largest BMW tuner in the state and there is virtually no port flashing available. Please, show me a modern BMW you can OBD2 flash. I'll wait

@BrettS That makes sense! I read on a Toyota Community Manager's Instagram to look out on Oct 2 in response to a question regarding the sales date! I wonder how much cash one would have to hand over?

$1,000 is the norm for deposit.

I don't use JB4. Android phone + software + OBD2 cable direct write of maps to dme/ecu.

MHD now supports the F-chassis n55 motor as well.

Here's some b58 flashing which most people think might be the motor in the new supra.

S55 motor from m3/m4 flashing:

So looks like you're out of the know or your tuner didn't tell you.
