I speak my mind and I do the same thing you do, but with brutal honesty and I don’t like to sugarcoat things. As far as the whole elitist things go, read some of your own comments. You seem like a nice guy, you really do but pay attention to the things you say "I can’t expect everyone to...
While I agree to some extent (the 86 is not a great car, it’s cheap thrills garbage and a lot of left the forum because of it) I will agree that naturally this forum will transition to owners forum, although on a much smaller scale due to the affordability factor. You’ll still have a bunch of...
This right here is my favorite post. The end of all opinions video as it’s the most accurate as it will ever be, although I am sure there are a number of people on here that just won’t get it.
You do realize that you are the only one that says/claims completely differently from all other sources yet not a single word or hint from Toyota is backing up a single thing you claim.
I just find it interesting. I’ll leave you and your minions be but this thread smells funny.
Once again.... ignoring what you said because that’s a whole new conversation, my comment was not about the needs of bmw. why would Toyota, the bigger and richer company would need bmw in order to build a Supra? The answer is to save on money because they didn’t care to develop anything of their...
Don’t quit your day job!
Just kidding. Either way your comment doesn’t make sense as a direct response to mine. It was not about what bmw needs or wants, it was how come the bigger and richer company needed bmw. Things are getting blurred quickly on this forum, this is getting tiring.
Yet Toyota needed BMW to make a car for them. The bigger, richer company is borrowing from the smaller, less profitable company.....what is the point here?
It was one example and if you read most of the articles like I have you will see they are saying very similar things. I find it interesting that you still haven’t answered my question and have been avoiding it. What’s the deal? Where is the confidence?
It’s just a simple question.
So are you saying that most of the reviews, articles and Toyota engineers are wrong when they say the engine is 100% bmw and only the ecu has been programmed differently than the Z4? Let’s leave all the suspension stuff out for now.
Engine, transmission and chassis is 100% bmw, true or false?
Really, after all of the information out there you guys are still trying to macgyver the weight to bend to your wishful thinking? It’s a freaking hatch and it will weigh a lot more than a Cayman, no way around it. 3,300-3,400 pounds, Even Toyota engineers fessed up to it. Get over it.
From what I understood it won’t be a full reveal. I don’t think Toyota has 100% decided what they want to show just yet. Will know more closer to SEMA.
