How do you remove the rear brake piston seal? Tore it doing brake/rotor change. Piston came out completely.
I have to source a replacement but I cannot seem to get what’s left of the seal off the caliper.
Picture below was day of installation. Less than a finger off the front tire. Front tire is 275/30/19. Springs installed a month ago settled more than expected after 2k miles on the road. She’s back where I want her now. If needed I can go back to stock height.
I will get it dialed in eventually.
Well, time will tell. Shop raised the car 3/4 inch, and did a full code scan and test of the ride height sensor. Sensor passed tests, with no issues. they double-checked wiring to the sensor, no damage. They cleared all codes and said that maybe the ride hight was a touch too low and it was...
Precision Sport Industries in Oviedo. They do anything on my car that I don’t do myself.

My car is there now for a ride height sensor issue.
Yeah, I've been searching online. ISTA may be required to recalibrate. Interesting though... I'm low, but not slammed and it seems to pop the warning on smooth interstate with little to no chassis movement.
I am raising it about 1/2 to 3/4 inch on Wedesday and getting a new alignment. Love...
I cleared the codes, and car ran fine for 8 days. Then, simply cruising the flat interstates of FL, it popped on again Thursday. Sensors LOOK fine, but something is clearly wrong. It goes to the shop on Tuesday for analysis. PSI is great... we'll get it resolved.
CarPlay addon says BT required so I’ll grab a cheap BT OBD reader and give that a try. Just didn’t want to buy a second OBD reader when I have one already.
Thanks anyway!
I have the same OBD adapter. Do you use this with Bimmerlink CarPlay addon to display data? I’m unable to connect to it via WiFi when CarPlay (wireless) is in use because I’m connected to Toyota WiFi.
Wondering if like usual I’m doing something wrong or if I need to use wired CarPlay.
OK... no issues on the drive in, but on the drive home again, chassis error. Before I shut the car off when I got in the garge, used Bimmerlink to pull codes. Here is what I have:
030C5A VDM-KBS - level sensors front left signal plausibility
800ABF KAFAS camera: field of views temporarily...
The car is lowered but ride height sensors are undamaged. It isn’t slammed but I will be raising it some next week as it is too low at the front for my driveway with the lip I’m running.
I turned off nanny featurs while driving yesterday after I got the alert. Had no issues getting to Sport...
So I inspected all four corners of the car this weekend... no visible issues. Ride Height Sensors are undamaged, and in proper orientation, see no problem there. All other lines and wires appear undamaged. Had no issues with notifications over the weekend, or on my drive to/from work on...
Yeah, I'm starting to suspect wheel speed/abs sensor is going bad. When I called the shop, they indicated it is more likely to be intermittent until if goes. Drove home with a fuel stop. No issues, no warnings.
Suspension install could be totally unrelated... Correlation does not always...
