  1. Leaked! Front of 2020 Toyota Supra production model first look!!

Looks good, but I'd rather leave that boring 90's jellybean styling in the 90's where it belongs.
  2. Toyota FT-1 concept & A90 Supra design dissected

Only one supra in the previous 4 generations had the wing, I dont think it's a feature that I think really needed to crossover to make me like the car personally. I hate the cheesy wing on the mk4 and am glad the mk5 has the subtle ducktail shape instead.
  3. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

First off the styling is very Japanese. But the overall shape of the car and fender shapes is straight Mk4. The dash for me looks like a what a modernized version of the mk2 supra dash is. Size is pretty close to all the others. Like if you just pictured a mk4 designed in 2015 instead of 1990 I...
  4. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

I tend to follow more along these lines. I'm a Toyota nut and would have preferred it to be all Toyota. But I also don't think the previous 4 generations of supras were super specials cars and I don't really put them on a pedestal. So I don't really care. I'm glad that a more then likely really...
  5. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

They're expensive because they're taxed heavily being built offshore, they are way over built (designed for a 25yr service life) and because they only come in one fully loaded trim. The LC does have better approach angle and etc. The bumpers are 3-4 inches higher then the LX570. The forward...
  6. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

I'd definitely take the Landcruiser over the 570. For one it is better looking, secondly it doesn't have the super low bodywork. I'd take the supra for one because I like Toyota and I don't want a convertible.
  7. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

Stock for stock the 1jz is more exciting imo. It revs quick and screams like a banshee, my 2j aristo reved slow and has a deeper tone which doesn't sound as a aggressive. I've had several 1J cars and I keep coming back as well.
  8. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

For sure, I'm sure you know what I was getting at. It's not like we got the jza70 in the USA. Though a TTR is one of my favorite Supra's. I actually recently got rid of my Tom's Aristo to go back to a Mark II because I prefer the 1JZ. That and a Mark II benefits from being 4-500lbs lighter.
  9. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

    A) if you like the car, who cares what others think. B) I feel like people look back on the mk4 like it wasnt shared components with other cars. Some 100yr old Lexus guy could roll up to you "nice peasant/common folk version sc300" "oh cool car I thought that was a Toyota sedan engine" you know...
  10. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

True, but as far as the previous supras are concerned the driveline is pretty meh other then the Mk4. Even though the mkv will be sharing parts with a Z4, I look at it more like, what BMW are both of those cars getting their parts from. Chances are they're more likely going to be M variants or...
  11. The MKIV vs MKV Thread

Lol they're still worth a bit not as much as lhd though
  12. The MKIV vs MKV Thread

Trust me, every panel on that car was mangled in some way. It needed a door on the other side.
  13. The MKIV vs MKV Thread

Maybe this guy I saw on a construction site in Vancouver today lol
  14. 2020 Supra prototype at Goodwood Festival of Speed (photos/videos)

OEM Jeff strikes again. Beautiful work there Jeff.
  15. Both FT-1 Concepts together!

True. Maybe someone will work on an FT-1 inspired aero kit for the A90..widebody, F1 nose etc.
  16. The Lexus LC500 & LC500h, Plus LC-F Talk

I find it pretty funny talking about "reinforcing" an already overweight chassis in the RC to make some new new Supra out of it. Sure if you want an 80k Supra that weighs 3800lbs. I agree with Guff on every point. Why does it matter what the bolts say on them? Technically a 3rd party is...
  17. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

Im definitely excited to see what else Toyota/Lexus have in store in the following few years.
  18. Toyota Supra rumored to be offered with 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder base model

Also hasn't A70 wrote repeatedly the 4cyl version of this car isn't destined for north america? I guess when it comes to complaints, that's the flavour of the week.
  19. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

Exactly. I mean I love the JZ family of engines, but I'm also not looking to buy a $50,000 car so I can put a 20 year old engine from a written off Toyota Aristo into it lol. If I was going to do that I could just stick with what I have already.
  20. Latest 2020 Supra Interior Spy Pics!

Oh I'm aware, I just put a 370z transmission into a JZX110 Toyota Mark II and even with that being just over 15 years old I've had to get an extra chip made by a guy in Russia installed into my ecu to trick the car into thinking it still has the Auto so it gives me full power, doesn't throw...
