Mine does it but not as loud... They had to change the entire rack on mine a couple of months ago as it made a creaking noise over bumps.
Is it possible to grease it easily or is it a pain in the ass?
Hey guys anyone know if the exrea carbon box does anything? Does it make the temperature cooler and I'm guessing it's not as loud (I don't mind louder)
Update: they ordered a new steering rack and will install it on Tuesday. They also disclosed that the issue isn't normal as in they haven't received many of the same complaints. Would it be reasonable too for me to require them to do an alignment after the install?
Hackensack Toyota... They sell a lot of these so I'm hoping they have some sort of experience and resources/relationship with Toyota to fix expeditiously
Hey guys, my car is sitting at a dealer service center now in NJ due to front suspension noise going over bumps and applying the brakes. It's like a creaking noise and my car is completely stock. I dropped it off last Friday and they had to have a Toyota person come in to help the technician...
Very interesting.. I do hear a little bit of clunking on the front and driver side, and almost feel like it's a loose break caliper. I can hear it when driving very slow over bumps, or when I initially press and depress the brake in different angles. Will try this thanks
There's a lot of things Toyota did to this car that they didn't do to the older models...
Well-finished brake rotors has always been attractive to me - and they seem very correct on the vast majority of performance cars - Porsches put them on the 718s and 911s, AMG sport packages, Lexus xxF...
How about blatant cheesiness for the vents?
And why do you care about what I care about so much? Yes, I do want it further distinguished because it's supposed to be. BMW and Toyota go out of their way to distinguish their larger displacement models - heck I think every manufacturer does and has...
1. Blend in fake side vents and hood vents (massive eyesore and honestly sometimes it makes me feel like trading it in)
2. Updated infotainment
3. Upgrade the cheesy/cheap shift levers!
4. Fix the trunk lid latch locking if you've closed your door!
5. Better steering wheel design
6. Drilled...
That's really crazy... It seems that that's the tech hardware and software that BMW is really holding back on with Toyota during this relationship of theirs ...
