The Manual Tranmission Supra 3.0L Sraight-6, will be the last of its kind from TOYOTA. Whether we like to drive manual or not, this is the last “gift” for driving enthusiasts & fans. Thank you to TOYOTA, Morizo & Tada-san.
Lap times & adding more power/torque : ZF8
Full driver engagement & old school feel : 6-speed MT
Both would still be fun to drive. Having choices are good.
The ZF8 AT is good, no contest. Very good actually. Better lap times and can handle additional power/torque for tuning. But it doesn’t negate a 6-speed dial on the cards ;)
I wonder if the statement “save the best for last” holds true for the Supra
If you want adjustable aftermarket sway bars for an FR (front-engine rear-wheel drive car), always change both FRONT & REAR.
It can be noticeable even for a daily drive car. Sway bars will only work on cornerning. So in a straight line, it might not give an impression. If you maintain your...
Thank you @nibble for the pix. So this is almost the same setup I have in mind. 18x10+38 with 14mm spacer. I’ll poke 1mm more than yours but that would be marginal. I plan to lower the car and negative camber might do the trick for additional clearances. Do you think your stock ride height is...
Yeah I understand and it is duly noted. I still want to keep a staggered setup so getting a 18x9.5 & 18x10.5 wheel set is still another option with the same tires! Appreciate it very much:) Thank you
Wow! Thank you thank you! Your inputs are spot-on and very much appreciated! Hoping this setup will be a blast to drive. I opted to go for PS4S thus my tire specs for front and rear. I understand the tire wall concern but I think PS4S sidewalls are durable (also base from experience) since these...
Thank you for this guide! I plan to put 265/35/18 with 18x9 ET30 front & 285/35/18 with 18x10 ET38 rear. Adding also 11/14 spacers plus Eibach ProKit springs. My only concern is if I’ll be too low in this setup since the overall wheel diameter also went down & lowered? I’m hoping this won’t have...
TOYOTA has won Le Mans 4x consecutively. It has also WON WEC, WRC & Dakar. All are TOP motorsport categories. All of these on the background of a strong & resilient automotive business platform (world, US, Japan etc) in the midst of the pandemic.
Great things up ahead for everyone especially...
GT3 race car means a production based platform. Nissan made a GT3 with the GT-R and so does Honda with the NSX. Toyota actually made a GT3 racecar back in 2017 under the Lexus banner with the RC-F GT3.

I’d probably choose a stick shift only with the right amount of power/torque. That being said, 300-400 stock power/torque will do. Anything more than that, it will probably not be as fun to drive as I hoped for since it will be too wild to control and not really enjoyable in a street legal car...
