so after 3 quick ugga duggas on front passenger side top camber plate bolt with impact wrench, the problem is almost goneā¦. It does it 10% of the time with really aggressive right turn⦠I guess I gotta give it another ugga dugga?
I canāt believe the problem is in the front! It still sounds like...
Very true! Im just out of ideas on the rear end, I think maybe Iām misplacing the noise, Iām going to get my wife to come out with me since she got that super hearing and canāt get nothing past her⦠probably should have done that a while ago š
yeah my pass thru barely hooks too, itās a pita to torque down⦠Iāll give it a try again in the morning and see if it moves at all (I have torque viz marker on it) - I think you might be on to something, I donāt trust my ears to be able to tell where any sound is coming from š
Yup, sorry if I wasnāt clear about that part (non-native English speaker) - I suspected worn/stretched out toe adjustment bolts/washer as a potential culprit, instead of replacing them for new bolts I decided to upgrade toe arms while I was at it⦠however this didnāt fix the noise š
I did not want to use an impact on the top nut and instead used a pass thru socket and Allen socket wrench to hold the strut shaft while tightening - I doubled checked using the same method but maybe I just gotta send it with the impactā¦
how many ugga duggas did you blast it with?
What are cinch fittings?
I have less than 20 miles on these toe arms, I got them because I wanted to make aligning the rear easier since I do this myself using string method + alignment hubs. Also I suspected the noise was caused by worn out eccentric bolts (camber/toe) so I replaced camber...
taking a look right now, though it sounds to me like itās coming from the rear passenger
Edit: Found the driver side small adjustment screws were loose, tightened them and went for a short drive, popping sound still there in passenger rear :(
Hi fellow Supra owners, I have ran into an issue that has me scratching my head without any ideas what to do or check next,
I have a 2021 3.0 Premium AT that has this really weird clunk/pop when turning sharp right, see video:
It seem to me itās coming from rear passenger side which would...
I haven't yet, I'll take a look at the verkline arms too, thank you. I ideally would like to stay mostly stock too, at least for another two years - the Verus camber plates are quite attractive too, I just know I will eventually need the LCAs and once I go full coilers the camber plates won't be...
yeah I hear you, I was debating buying a square set too but decided to prioritize other suspension components first⦠plan on doing another season on stock wheels with a more aggressive tire setup, just donāt want the car to push a lot more than it already does!
im also dialing up the camber up...
Sorry about reviving such an old thread, I am thinking about going the same route on stock wheels and Iām seeking advice.
Would you mind sharing your experience with the tire and wheel combo? Also did you go for oem size? I hear RE71RS runs a bit wider?
yup mine is broken in the same way, been running it like that for over a year with no leaks⦠I would be more worried about the end thatās attached to the block. I always inspect that little hose expecting to see PCV leaks but itās holding up just fine.
I broke mine same way when installing my intake, ordered a replacement but ended up never replacing the broken part because itās working fine š¤·š½āāļøš¤·š½āāļø
I have a brand new one on the shelf in my garage lol
This right here is how we learn! By breaking shit lol š - wonāt happen again for sureā¦
How do I know if they are ruined? Are they oil filled and leak or is there another way to check?
I fixed it today by replacing and properly torquing down the wheel hub/lower control arm bolt - the squeak is now gone!
I didnāt know that youāre supposed to torque it down while the suspension under load for some reason this prevents the bushing in there from going bad or so I heard on some...
Did you ever find the culprit? I am having a similar faint squeak/creak when I go over small bumps and suspension compresses - itās not loud and I can only hear if Iām going slow with the windows rolled downā¦
I am also on lowering springs and I believe the noise is coming from right rear, I...
