I suppose Cayman GT4 owners said the same thing.
Weight: 3050 Lbs.
Power: 385 hp @ 7400 rpm
Torque: 309 lb-ft @ 4750 rpm
Except, a GRMN version being turbo, would maybe have 340-360 TQ.
damn, now you have me thinking what everyone else, that its going to start in the low 50's or high 40's. Gotta admit, if it does, then I may be looking at a F-type. They really have to package this car well in performance & equipment at that price point for me to not look elsewhere.
How many years has it been since this masterpiece graced the earth! and as I'm scrolling down, it still stopped me in my tracks. Straight perfection. What a special car.
FB?
I thought the same, I would imagine Toyota learned something from the co-development of the 86's. Also, to uphold their renown for excellent reliability.
What are you guys thoughts on this, I always thought the N55 and N55 successor B58 were built with great quality guess I was wrong. I hope Toyota addresses some of these details before production of the Supra
There he goes again, dropping fire! @A70TTR I think that is great, in terms of performance. But what about design, its not like GRMN version is going to make the dimensions more to the liking of the FT1, right? Either way in its current state battling the big boys with more added performance...
I dunno about you guys, but I know what mirrors I'm replacing them with...Now, just to schedule my flight to Italy to visit the parts center and I'm all set.
I can agree some design elements and car dimensions should have not been compromised from the FT1, but that may have put us in an entirely different car price. Also you have to remember its still in camo.
@A70TTR, how do you feel about the cars proportions, since you've been up close and personal with it. Does it seem oddly small, or does appear to flow just right? Is there anything you wish Toyota could have done better regarding exterior design/dimensions?
Another thing I noticed unless the camo is just doing a really good job, but the hood seems wide and plain. I would hope the final product has a bit more character to it. As of right now it reminds me of a egg shell. It could surely use more lines.
anyone else notice that nose bump is almost completely gone? or at the very least been reduced. So glad they did that. Also how about that fender vent! looks functional too!
In some photos it looks proportioned correctly, and in others it appears to be almost smushed, almost as if should be slightly wider and longer. Likes those Pontiac commercials from back in the day, wider is better lol.
Also is it safe to say this I appears to be the Spec-A or base model?
I have a question, has anyone noticed the background or where these photos were taken?
After doing some detective work, the model/design of the freight trucks in the background are native to Switzerland, and the surrounding area seems to me like it's near the Geneva airport, or the location of...
I'm sorry guys but come on, don't be tricked into thinking that will ever happen, this is Toyota we're dealing with after all. Toyota doesn't have the testicular fortitude to have a targa option. Be thankful we're getting the car in the first place lol.
I had the luxury of driving a friends manual Cayman S for a few weeks as we would trade cars all the time, and I was considering buying a used one.
I loved the way it drove, everything was so precise, but I felt I needed more space inside. It was almost claustrophobic, I had the z4 coupe for a...
