Best way to describe him. True car guy who sees and appreciates cars for what they're really worth:thumbsup:.
This was an exception. Dealer gave him their car (probably with a bit of persuasion from Toyota)
I don't expect to see first real deliveries happening in Germany before Aug/Sep...
The reason is why Toyota put Toyota above the Supra name is because they have to....
Apparently Toyota let their ownership of the name Supra expire :doh:and someone else took it. So now they have to badge the car as a "Toyota Supra" and not just a "Supra" in Europe.
BMW is offering them for 365 EUR (407 USD) per side. So 814 USD for the set. And that's including 19% VAT....

Doesn't have anything to do with the exhaust, but anyone see the tail light demo in this video (starts at 3:10)?
The blinker solution isn't too bad, was wondering how they solved it since red is illegal. The F1-style rear red fog-light is awesome.
Yes they are different.
From what I've read:
EU - Loud
Japan - Louder
USA - Loudest
@Guff briefly explained the differences here:
Media Launch: Listen to the 2020 Supra on track at Summit Point
Yeah I know, would have preferred Alcantara over leather, but my dealer said it isn't possible. Anyway, just mentioning that the car posted is indicating "Stoff" upholstery which is German for cloth.
Would be interesting to see if the torque figures remain the same (like the z4) in a possible...
Agree and if it's like the Z4 then the 385hp comes with the same 365 ft lbs of torque as the 335hp version.... Even the simplest B58 piggy back tunes (for BMW models) have 50hp + 50-60 ft lbs (not saying I recommend them) so it should be an easy exercise for any decent tuner to get you those...
Do you know the technical differences between the three that influence the sound? Different mufflers, particulate filter, valves, etc. or maybe just software?
Yeah I'm not getting my hopes up. Dealer said earliest delivery would be in Sep and he's not aware of any special events.
Anyway, got an email invite to the event. Prices are the same which means a 50€-80€ mark-up on regular ticket prices per person (depending on the day) for the "experience"...
Sorry, I'm not a person to spread negativity, but for someone who ordered a Supra, it's really disappointing that Toyota wasn't able to inform us about this test drive opportunity themselves.... I believe it's the very least you can expect as they promised us such amazing perks of being part of...
No problem. I wasn't there so I couldn't ask, but since it can't be any of the others and since it looks like bmw's blue stone metallic, I would say I'm 99% sure
I took the train down to Geneva.
Car is tight, but not Miata tight. Getting into the car can be a challenge, I had to kind of hold my balance while "folding" myself into the car:D. Once I was in I adjusted my seat. Also have short legs so I was able to move the seat an inch or two more forward...
Maybe this has been discussed before, didn't find anything.
Does anyone know what's behind the plastic in the door jam?
The side vent partially lines up with it.
So if there's a hole then this could be a way to get air into the wheel well.
