I don't think the engine pictured is how it will look production ready. Keep in mind that car is still a prototype and Toyota probably had no plans on anyone seeing that engine in the first place. If anything I think Toyota used what BMW had lying around to hide what's underneath.
If this guy is an engineer at Toyota Motorsport GmbH which is located in Germany, couldn't that be where the CGI engine for the Supra is being developed? Someone in another post said something like "why can't they just ship the parts to Germany from Japan?" Maybe they don't have to because the...
Couldn't agree more. I wish Toyota would do something similar to what Dodge did with the Demon. There was a countdown until its release and every few weeks a new teaser video would be released giving away some new info. It sure kept the hype up for the car. Hopefully we get some good news soon.
Yep, I can afford it. I decided to hold back from buying both an RCF and an M2 to wait for the Supra. If Toyota gives us a Supra with the proper engine at launch, I'll gladly hand them my money. If not I can wait it out, Toyota won me over with the looks of the car either way
I hope not. The point of the wrap is literally to deceive and hide details in plain sight. I really hope they bring back color options from the A80. Gosh, Diamond White Pearl and Quicksilver FX look amazing.
Is he asking about age because he thinks the shorter wheelbase is only suitable for the younger crowd? I mean it's not like we are buying a Mclaren or something where some people may find that car "hard" to live with. I plan on using my MKV as my daily whether I'm 28 or 48. This car will be...
Ahh very cool! I noticed other manufacturers have proving grounds out here as well. Whenever I make the drive to California I always end up spotting something wrapped in camo.
I was reading into Toyota's different test tracks and noticed that they have a proving grounds in Arizona just outside of Phoenix. Has the Supra been testing in any high heat conditions? I should camp outside the entrance in hopes I'll get a glimpse!
Don't get me wrong the 996 is a great car! I had a friend with a 996 GT2 that was pushing over 1000whp and man was that quick! The tunability on those cars is quite impressive.
I know there have been cars in the past where headlights have changed from Euro to U.S. spec upon release (Alfa 4c), are these confirmed on U.S. MKV models? I hope they do, they are wicked
What I find interesting is how meticulous Toyota has been with the release of information and details on MKV. Each time the forum hears some news or speculation that we aren't happy with, A70 or someone else comes out with some details, as if the release of these details were planned, that...
