I didn't see anyone post this up yet, or at least with a few different gifts. So I thought some might be interested.
This is what I received for preordering the Supra in Australia
Basically, a cap, a pen, a key chain, pair of driving gloves, a thank you letter and a book about the Supra. Most...
Suntek Ultra clear Matte ppf (whole car).
See my post: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/phantom-matte-gray-owners-manifest-yourself.3264/page-2
If I wasn't doing the film, I would use ceramic coating and Dr Beasley's products. Wipe off any tree sap, bug splatters and bird poo once I get the...
Thanks for your concern Jill.
I am happy with the product. I think my attaching of the cover was probably a bit off which may have caused a gap on the driver side, so it creaks a bit if I push down on the centre. Not noticeable in normal use.
*Update* Creaking is gone, I guess the 3M adhesive...
Fitted a pair on (high gloss finish to match black gloss surround, and I hated the matte black plastic). Fitment is very good, not 100% perfect but that might just be the tape or my own lack of ability. Driver side (RHD) creaks a little if I apply force to the middle.
Props to Jill at Rexpeed...
My matte grey with Rexspeed carbon fibre mirror cap... Doesn't look very matte indoors does it?
Still waiting on ppf appointment before I properly drive it... so paranoid about the paint given the problems I had on delivery...
I am an owner of Nurburg matte grey as it is sold in Oz. Have arranged for a full car ppf appointment (Suntek matte). Expecting it will look different from stock, but I am too paranoid about side scratches from opening doors as well...
Check the brand of ppf the detailer is using. Some of them...
I can't imagine comprehensive insurance for a $100k+ car would be $880 per year. Especially since Shannons can't let you trade a higher excess for a lower premium as well. I'll give them a call on Monday, sounds like a steal if this is the case.
Check Engine Light is not a requirement for a tune. If it comes on, it is because the cat is not working well enough. All a tuner will do is use the ECU override (i.e. ignore) the O2 sensors. An O2 spacer (to trick the O2 sensors) will achieve the same result (without voiding your warranty but...
Ok, I'll take your word on it. I only look at inline 6s (may be different for other engine setups) and its usually one right after the manifold to the cat and one after, sometimes a 3rd in between 2 cats. This sort of setup makes sense to me for modifying A/F ratios to reduce emissions.
EPA approved is only in the US. It is a risk for Australia but it should be fine, the cat is 300CEL and I've seen 200CEL high flow cats pass the exhaust tests, albeit for other cars.
CEL they mean is "check engine light". They mean the cat is working well enough that it doesn't trigger the O2...
We are in an alright position, typically not much is fabricated here, but it is easy to access both JDM and US parts.
For exhausts/intake/piping etc, you can get pre-manufactured ones which is what you typically see on the forums (usually imported), or you can go to an exhaust shop to get a...
MKIV and MKV (and Beemer) owner here...
I don't think it has anything to do with MKIV ownership, it is just the internet and mods not keeping the trolls in check. Sadly it will likely spell the end of the forum in the long term being so antagonistic to new members...
From my personal...
Thanks for providing photos and confirming.
I was staring at the OEM exhaust diagrams and wondering how they fit a cat in front of the first O2 sensor.
