Make sure you select your desired start up/settings in map config before flashing. You have to do this every time before you flash. It's map specific so the settings don't carry over to others. Its very common and easily overlooked.

The good thing about bm3 is that most tuners can do it remote via cloud. Its just a matter of taking time to search for a good tuner. Are you still relatively stock? If you are, you can use BM3's OTS tunes for the time being unless you're rocking a bigger turbo...

I would love to see the data if you do happen get a snorkel. It definitely helps keeping the temp creep down. Before my DIY snorkel, I couldn't break under 121F w/ 100 ambient. After the install, I was able to see 11X numbers. I can't even imagine what numbers you'll see with your setup.
All in all, unless you're pushing lots of power, I see no benefit running CAIs other than sound. If you do happen to stick with CAIs, maybe pair it with a snorkel to give it a source of fresh clean air to help aid the cooling. Judging by my tests/logs, its clear that CIAs just isn't as efficient...
