I looked at these and sat in them when Recaro was at the rolex 24 last year. For me, the biggest issue is they dont sit any lower than the stock seats, because of all the motors. They had a bit more lateral grip, but not as good as a Sportster or a real bucket. Meh.

Reach out to who you bought it from. They probably gave you the wrong button set.

Did you disconnect the battery when you swapped?
