    tg_mkv I briefly checked that thread yesterday but didn't believe it could be TC related. But it is indeed. I can confirm it's better with TC off. Still wonder if the mech disabled the fake engine noise, which I'm happy about. It sounds more refined inside.

    I just had the recall ECU update done and noticed throttle response has a delay now. Also the fake engine noise is gone. This is in sport mode. Does the update disable the ASD by default? or maybe the mechanic disabled it. Not complaining about that, but throttle delay will be a problem for me...

    Related to this topic, since its an auto, would brake life suffer the same vs. manual? Assuming you go auto all the time. To be clear, and not to insult, I'm asking about the amount of engine braking when in auto.

    I'm finding manual mode and mixed auto-manual a bit difficult to manage. It seemed much more natural to manual shift and heel-toe rev match. This auto feels error prone to me.

    Yes for MPG. But I suspect its perfectly reasonable to use it, especially since the engineers know how these cars will most likely be used. Typically you'd recommend the safest product possible while meeting regulatory requirements.

    I used LeatherNu on a leather chair. You sand the scuff down and then use a special glue to repair any deep cuts. Looks like you only have gouges/scuffs. Then you need to mix the various colors based on their guidance to get a close match, and then paint it on. Wasn't perfect, since my leather...

    Curious to know why some think the oil recommended by BMW engineers would be in any way dangerous to use? Trust engineers and not lay people?

  12. Cell signal booster

    New user and I couldn't find answer in search. Owner's 2021 manual says to register the signal booster with cell provider, but the provider needs MAC ID and serial number beyond model ID and FCC ID. Where is the device, so I can get that info?
