Hi, I've scratched my leather steering wheel. Does anyone recommend any products to repair / improve the scratch?

I've seen a few products online, but any first hand feed back would be much appreciated.

Also any advice on the actual colour of the steering wheel, not sure if it's black or very dark grey. I've had a look on some BMW sites but can't decide what colour of repair kit would work best.

Thanks any help with either questions would be appreciated.

Looks like your pocket knife attacked your steering wheel.

Maybe buy some colorant and then leather conditioner for the other section

I would suggest talking with your local bmw dealers service department (a bit higher end option than your average Toyota dealer). They have guys that visit their lots to repair leather or interiors weekly. The professional repair would be around $100 and they can match the color perfectly.

This is an example of a worn leather steering wheel on my 2016 GTI and the end result after leather refinishing. Truly like new.

Hi, thanks for the tip, I've already asked Toyota if they have any products and confirm the colour match.

But will approach BMW if I don't get anywhere with Toyota.

Thanks

Mine is in such bad shape, that I'm going to have to replace the steering wheel. Must of been a dry batch of leather. I had two large marks on my wheel, and didn't even have 100 miles on it yet.

I'm in Newport Beach California, there is one bad thing about my wheel though, when we removed it we have to puncture it with a flat head screw driver and there is a chunk of the rubberplastic missing on the backside. But from the front it's totally in a good shape.

Hi sorry for not getting back to you, I checked shipping to UK and its quite expensive. Thank you for the generous off but I'll pass.

Try a leather repair kit. Plenty of them to chose from on Amazon.
