Good point on the manual z4. That might be enough motivation for an ACT or other more reputable companies to release a clutch to the aftermarket.

ACT came out with a clutch for TJ Hunt when he got his manual MKV he drifted for a quick minute before he sold it. I haven’t heard anything from ACT about one being available to the public. I wonder why.

Here is a good question maybe we can get a poll up: Knowing now how hard it is to find an aftermarket clutch to push more power, do you regret buying a 6MT instead of an automatic (easier to push power)?

My local shop told me to stay away from them. That they’ve had issues with past clients on the MKV. Then you have people on YouTube putting on Clutchmasters and they seem happy. I’m not even sure what to believe anymore.

I fear there might never be a good choice or excellent support for an aftermarket clutch with the amount of MKV’s made and sold. I’m wondering if clutch manufacturers just don’t see it as profitable therefore don’t invest any money into developing a good aftermarket clutch.

I called Spec and two reps gave me two different answers. My local shop told me to call Spec because they always recommend their clutches and the first rep told me yes when I am ready to submit the order. When I followed up on the email, the new rep told me that they don't make an A90 (Z4)...

It’s the same exact clutch. I don’t know if it was more user error of people who don’t know how to drive manuals well or just a coincidence.
