Yes that’s normal. Assuming it’s the 330d engine? Sorry, bad joke. It does sound loud but then they are noisy motors. It’s surprising just removing the engine cover how loud they are. Hence all the soundproofing on it making it ridiculously heavy for just an engine cover!

That seems to divide opinion! I read you have about 1000 miles to seat the rings properly so I’m thinking it needs a few 2nd and 3rd pulls at least. I think I’ll probably give it around 300 - 400 easy miles then make a point of a few hard runs upto the 1000 mile mark
