Had an E39 M5 for 8 years and an E36 M3 before that. Electronics were what I experienced trouble with the most, but even then it wasn’t ever anything that left me stranded.
I’ll likely be going the piggyback route in hopes that it’s not as easily detectable should something happen. Wouldn’t think it’d be as it’s not writing over the factory data on the ECU/DME. While I’m sure you can flash it back to stock, I’m sure there’s a way for them to see key/engine cycle...
Spent some time going through the threads over on SF for some entertainment and damn do they hate this car over there. I swear everyone that’s complaining about this car would’ve been happy with nothing other than a MKIV clone.
