When I ran the OEM Super Sports, and later the Sport Cup 2’s on the stock suspension, I stayed in the 40-42psi range with good success at lowering times and mitigating some outer front treadeear. Rear camber was adequate keep excessive wear in check but the fronts need more camber and I have the...
Ok, I purchased the petrol head version. Are you guys using an external gps? Or is your phone gps accurate enough? I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max with a RAM windshield mount.
Lol, there'll be no shortage of people trying to get you to buy the high-$ stuff. I was pretty stoked to see that the 0W-20 Castrol Edge had both the API SN and the ACEA C5 certifications on it among the other top industry ratings. If the goal was to go 10,000 miles while driving it hard, it's...
Awesome! Of the 3 local tracks we have (Sonoma, Laguna, Thunder) Thunder Hill ranks a solid 3rd. Sooner or later I'll make it out to Thunder Hill in the Supra but I'm not sure when. I was just out at Laguna Seca on Saturday and it's such a beast at that track. Just the right amount of power...
Regarding the rear diff... I changed mine at 5,000 miles. In that 5k miles I did a total of 4.25 hrs of hard tracking at Sonoma Raceway and the remaining street time was probably 70% hard driving through twisty canyon roads and all of it was during cool outside temps. My previous experience...
Supra Connect issue fixed...
Some of us had an issue where the Supra Connect app will only show a vehicle with a sheet over it. The latest update fixes that problem.
Yeah, that makes sense why the MX+ doesn't set off the alarm. You're right, the CX doesn't completely turn off. It goes to a low-power mode (2mA) when the car is turned off. Seems like it would be a problem with most cars, not just the Supra. I wonder why they didn't give it a sleep mode...
If you're like me, once you've been on the track, driving around cones in a parking lot just isn't the same. It's kind'a like going from the kiddie side of the amusement park to the big rollercoaster side. That first hill is really scary, but the smile on your face after the ride is plastered...
No, you're good. If it's the castrol edge at this link, it has both the SN Plus and C5 rating. Pretty much, the C5 rating is the one that definitely protects our stock catalytic converters but it's not clear that we need that protection. The SN plus rating protects direct injection cars from...
I don't blame you. I would be waiting for a more accurate forecast picture too if I didn't just go to the track 2 days ago. Fingers crossed for ya. Track days are addictive. You're gonna love it.
Probably the easiest thing to do is just unplug the OBD adapter from your OBD port and see if the valve closes... and reopens when you plug it back in. That way the possibility of the app continuing to run in the background is removed.
Ok, I just went to read up on it at www.Bimmerlink.app and found this review with a developer response to this subject. Maybe something has changed since the developer's response on Apr 2020...

Weak app and they don’t stand behind it.
Developer Response,
Hmm, maybe yours is different than mine for some reason, or there's a mis-communication but...
If my app is running in the background on my phone when I start the car, the app opens the exhaust valve automatically because that's the setting I have chosen in the app. However, if I don't have...
Hmmm, thanks for the replys. Maybe it's a '20 vs '21 thing... or, an MX vs CX thing... I'll probably end up contacting support but, so far it's not much trouble unplugging the adapter if I'm locking it. I pretty much only drive it to work on sunny days and take it for canyon drives. Still...
Regarding the possibility of rain... The long range forecast currently shows about a 25% chance of rain for both Feb 20th and 21st. Keeping in mind that long-range forecasts aren't very accurate, I still decided to cancel my complimentary track days due to the possibility that it might rain...
I love having the Bimmerlink app and my OBDLink CX adapter. Opening the exhaust valve, turning off ASD, and the ability to monitor and record tons of sensor information in realtime and review after track runs is friggin' awesome! I highly recommend it.
Only problem I have had so far is, if I...
