Posting on this to give my 1000 mile update. No issues what so ever since putting this BOV on the car ... I have 0 air leaks and there is no loss of power from this modification ... I did a best of 7.21 100-200kph recently on stock turbo jb4 if anyone needs proof that there are no leaks I...
11k on the car about 2k of it on a JB4 e30-e40 mix ... car has a lot of pulls on it and the clutch decided to give up the ghost ... I dont plan on switching turbos anytime soon so i went with a Clutch master FX400 so we shall see how this replacement is ... I will be sure to update this post...
Well the day has come 11,000 miles in and only 2000 of it tuned … found the breaking point to be jb4 e40 mix with some cold air … going clutch master fx400 on the coming weeks
end of the year update to the pics ... and also updated draggy ... didnt get to 1/4 mile the clutch went but ended up with a slipping clutch going 7.21 100-200kph... (equal to about an 8.4 60-130) ... new clutch, shifter, and unlocking in the spring
Went back out for one last 100-200kph pull before my clutch left the chat, new one is already on the way… would have had the 60-130 but revlimiter in 4th is at 128mph. Went to make a second pull and my clutch wasn’t having it … 6MT jb4 custom Jesse e37 tune, intake, cp, dp, full weight
I have a jesse tune and love it but i want to push the platform as far as possible for the 6mt guys and I am working with Colonel to see what he can make the car do as well with his own tune. My guess is combined information between both tunes plus a few things i have picked up along the way...
From what we saw you can’t swap the hks spring so it won’t work … I swapped the Tial Q spring to a green spring and then it worked … it didn’t work with the original 11 lb spring
No it wont work sadly ... the HKS BOV works differently that the tial or turbosmart and the bov wont open ... the only reason the TIAL Q or the turbosmart work would be because they are using such a light weight spring. I have a HKS bov and tried it and learned the hard way so i put it on my...
i have an rk tunes dp no cat , there are a lot of factors when it comes to traction ... i used to make over 600hp on my old m3 and i could hook a 60 no issues with a 295 street tire on it, the way the turbos power ramps in suspension, what mph you actually start from, temp of the tires and...
That was me slightly releasing the clutch to help it build a little boost so it would blow off.... just reving it barely makes enough pressure to hear the bov so by slipping the clutch slightly it allows it to build just enough to make some noise.
