No... it's not attached directly to the vent itself...it attaches above and below the dash covers as shown it pic below... You can place the clip mount anywhere along the top and bottom "rails" and can actually move the mount to the right of the vent...

I guess if you have the heat set really high that could be concern...maybe? I live in So AZ and have yet to use the heat ...the seat warmers are enough for me...

Even with direct sub replacements we still have to go through and eliminate all the vibrational noise that the cover causes which I spent the day yesterday doing...I was able to eliminate 90% of the low frequency vibrational noise... I found some pics of the subs in the supra shop...

Yup, I agree it is a good deal... My point was that Bavsound classifies their stage one kit for the Z4 as a 8 speaker replacement which doesn't include the subwoofer and amp .... Apparently a few Supra owners have already installed their BMW Z4 stage one kit and reviews say it sounds great...

I was asking because they already offer a stage one speaker upgrade kit for 2020 Z4 that also is direct replacement for Supra minus the subwoofers...A few Supra owners have already installed stage one... I believe stage 2 will be subwoofers and amp... STAGE ONE BMW SPEAKER UPGRADE FOR E89 Z4...
