  1. Dashboard reading 3mph over actual speed

European here. As stated in the other threads the programmed speed discrepancy in digital dashboards is mostly an European* thing. It is very useful around speed cameras, both camera and vehicle have a little buffer -> helps. I guess the cruise overreading is done keeping the above in mind...
  2. Pics & Vids of Supra with aftermarket wheels

Haha! I'm pretty sure I am now the owner of this very set of wheels. :) Waiting to add valves and tyres. I was also toying with the idea of powder coating them in a slightly darker grey, same as the PF09 or (lighter) PF05. Will post pictures when done.
  3. Whining (electrical?) noise from differential

I'll have to stop and unplug the last time it happens. For the record, the first time I heard the noise it was last year, summer. Cruising at probably 70, been driving for hours (and the day before) and the car and transmission was up to temperature. Now that I think of it, other time it...
  4. Whining (electrical?) noise from differential

Thanks. OEM as service was made at dealer. Just to be clear, the weird sound came up once even before the diff was serviced for the first time.
  5. Whining (electrical?) noise from differential

I counted the fins wrong apparently :D Ok, never realised it was the full active one. Car was easy to spin around, that was enough :D > None of the M-lite/Supras have M diffs. Ok! Didn't know. Matching part number was shown in the VIN decoder, but to be fair the data provided by the decoder...
  6. Whining (electrical?) noise from differential

Didn't do it myself, but mechanic said it was all perfectly good. No metal. My impression is that the noise is more an electric whine than mechanical somehow. That's why I assumed it was coming from the active sound system.
  7. Whining (electrical?) noise from differential

It does have it. Regarding the type in Europe, at least Toyota's literature, they keep saying it's a mechanical/non active LSD. It's kinda confusing, I never really investigated too much. :) Last time I was able to check the parts, from memory, same part # as the M2 (but I have no idea of the...
  8. Whining (electrical?) noise from differential

Diff service and fluids replace in August. Had the sound just once since then.
  9. Whining (electrical?) noise from differential

Trying to understand if this is happening only to me or if it is a known issue or (hopefully) it's an issue related to the fake engine noise in the cabin. Not a massive issue, as it happened just a few times in the last year or so. Supra Pro 2.0, European spec. The LSD should be the mechanical...
  10. Toyota UK service interval.

UK here, but 2.0. First service is at 10k (miles) or within a year, that seemed a tad "long" to me. I am at around 30k miles right now (car is ~2 years old) and did 2 services in total, last one this summer, plus I changed rear brake pads and sensors in December in a follow up minor service as...
  11. USDM headlight vs the rest

EU Supra here, but I don't have matrix headlights. I had matrix headlights in my previous car though (Lexus NX350+) and they were mind blowing. I was very skeptical at first, also worried of blinding oncoming cars, but they actually work very well. Of all the modern ADAS and assistive tech I've...
  12. RHD/LHD headlights adjustments - non adaptive

I have an European spec (UK) 2.0 Pro that, I discovered over time, comes with the non matrix/adaptive headlights, so the beam cannot be adjusted LHD/RHD via the head unit settings. The setting is present, but nothing changes in the headlights as, I learnt online, only the 3.0 Pro headlights...
  13. ► Official APEX Wheels Showroom Gallery Thread

:) That's why I ask, I have little experience on this topic. Apex OEM+ fitment guide says "slight stretch". I guess the issue is the definition of "slight". I currently have Bridgestone Potenza Sport on stock rims, stock sizes. Wouldn't say they are stretched to be fair. :)

Absolutely. Yep, 355/375 was a typo :D Fixed the post. Thanks!
  15. ► Official APEX Wheels Showroom Gallery Thread

Anyone running the OEM+ SM-10 fitment in 18x10” ET30 front, and18x11" ET40 rear with "narrow" (OEM) sizes tyres? 255 and 275/40 profile? Considering getting a set of SM-10, but would like to keep stock width and profile. I prefer the chunky shoulder keeping the 18" (2.0 here, no need for wider...
  16. B48 intake resonator?

Is the box to the right of the intake filter box the resonator? Or the 2.0 doesn't have one? If that is a resonator, is there a procedure to plug it (without removing the box maybe)? Yes, I am 14, and I would be curious to hear a tiny bit more intake noise. 😂 Don't care about custom intakes...
  17. 18" Wheels - UK side

Replying to myself, I didn't really look at all the sizes for SM10s. Front 18×9.5 ET22 Rear 18×10 ET25 These should work fine keeping OEM tire sizes.
  18. 18" Wheels - UK side

Considering getting a new set of wheels for my car. Haven't decided if I want to alternate between both sets (winter wheel and such) or just swap and forget. Easiest thing is to go with Apex wheels provided by Garage Whifbitz: 19", larger rim width. But also... I would like to keep 18" wheels...
  19. Lets see those 18" wheel setups!

Thank you. I was looking for some 18" rims, not going wider with tyres (40 profile instead of 35 would not be a fit issue) and those look very nice. Now... gotta find those in the UK... :D
