No, because if you look at the fine print on the website it says that "proper low pressure fueling" is critical for the operation of the HPFP. What they're saying, because they don't want to be explicit about it, is that the numbers they're claiming only apply if you upgrade the low pressure...
I think people are easily deceived by the illusion of "plug and play," and they don't realize:
A) The fundamental Supra limitations are in the stock turbo first, HPFP and DI injectors second, LPFP third.
B) Unleashing real power through DI is not just one PnP high pressure pump. It's thousands...
The problem is that the stock turbo just cannot support efficient operation at boost PSI necessary to deliver above 525 or so. It becomes a hot air blower. The fuel system has a little left to give, and a larger turbo at lower boost levels can take the OE fuel system to 600ish without running...
When Apple lets me control every single aspect of the phone's function and applications, I will switch. Until then: Android. I won't use an OS that actively fights to stop me from doing something.
Indeed. If a car has a turbo option, I'm gonna take the turbo option every time. It's very easy to slap in a larger turbo and tune for it. Finding superchargers that fit XYZ motor is a lot more difficult, and superchargers suck for boost anyways.
No competent PPF installers covers radar and sensors. On the Supra, all the PPF vendors have pre-cut pieces or large format cutting templates. The chance of covering sensors with negative effect is zero.
Don't overthink this.
The United States Magnuson Warranty act enforces that your vehicle warranty must be upheld if a vehicle modification is not responsible for the defect in a warranty claim. You're fine. Don't narc on yourself.
This just feels like a bum deal. To deliver the full performance, this solution needs new GDI injectors, new cams, and the pump. You're already in for well over $5K and it's still less performance headroom than PI. You're also not really plopping down the stated performance without an upgraded...
19x11+33 should fit in the rear without issue. I run 19x11+35 in the rear, and 2mm won't make a difference.
The front (19x9.5+30) will definitely fit. I run 19x9.5+25 in the front, whereas the +30 is more inwards towards the center of the car.
I have semi-bespoke 2pc from BCForged (6 weeks to my door) on the Supra, and fully bespoke 3pc from GMR (5 weeks to my door) on my other car. The process was painless and fast in both cases, and not really any more expensive than a good set of wheels people are already buying for their Supra...
Burble happens because the DME is programmed to add fuel and reduce timing ("fuel dump on timing retard") when the user lets off the throttle. This allows unburnt fuel to escape the engine and detonate on the hot exhaust components near the engine. It's not about better or cleaner fuel burn. The...
Is the rear brace EOL, or could we expect to see it one day?
Got my front in the mail a few weeks ago. I set up an automated alert to notify me when it was back in stock lol. Thanks for doing the good work!
