Wish the steering wheel had a little thumb joystick to replicate the iDrive knob's joystick functionality so we can use that capability without leaving the wheel. Replace mode button with sport mode. Swap sides for audio/cruise control.
I'd cut the fittings out, caliper the size of their barbs, and then transplant them to equivalently-sized SAE J30R14 fuel hose. SAE J30R14T2 is even better. You can get these hose from most auto parts stores. You can use vaseline to make fitting insertion easier, or you can warm the hose with a...
Having just done the LPFP recently, it seems there's a nice opportunity for designing an entirely new tophat/basket setup that goes through the fuel tank opening as a "stick". Then you push a button or pull a pin and the entire unit hinges down to sit upright in the tank. Combined with some sort...
I once said I didn't want a built transmission, because I was okay with HP right around the OEM transmission torque limit.
...now I have a built trans in my car.
I bet you one or more of the chassis height sensor brackets are broken. There's one front left and back right. I'm pretty astonished they let you take the car back with this error on the display. The front left height sensor is pointed in red, and the one on the rear looks similar. It's just a...
Does the car alert you to any codes on the screen when you start it up? Are you able to scan for codes yourself with a tool like Bimmerlink? Certainly you should be able to take any gear to red line, at which point the car will auto-shift. Note that shift RPMs may be limited until the...
Dealer needs to test the runout of the rotor and the runout of the wheel hub behind the rotor. Oftentimes if there is still shuddering during braking after rotor/pad change, the wheel hub itself is deformed.
I don't think Toyota provides hub/rotor runout specs in the shop manual, but 0.001"...
I use 30W100 so it stays packed in the filter like a thick mayonnaise before I slap that bad mfer in there.
/edit: loving these xW40 oil reports turning up squeaky clean. Repeat after me: 0W20 is for CAFE compliance.
If my reading is correct:
OEM exhaust is 70-81mm
OEM GPF section is 81mm
Your new exhaust is 70mm all through
I strongly suspect your performance loss is because you actually sized down on the exhaust, which is especially negative on a turbocharged vehicle. The loss of modest 8 wheel torque is...
