I had the factory exhaust at my dealership to put on for the bi-yearly service check. But we couldnāt do it since the car wouldnāt move and it was in a bad spot. I bought the car from a dealer than put the customer exhaust on with the wheels, lip kit and springs. I never had a problem with it...
I bought the car second hand and they said it doesnāt have a warranty with the aftermarket exhaust system. Japan is super strict.
Thanks for the directions. Hopefully the labor isnāt much. But I still have to front the bill if it doesnāt fix it.
I appreciate your response. I looked online and saw the price is America was much cheaper. No idea why. They also said thereās only one new starter at Toyota in all of japan. Haha. We trust this dealer so they arenāt shafting us. We buy many cars from them. They spent three days exhausting all...
I made a previous post about what I thought was a battery problem. I finally had my car towed to Toyopet(a branch of Toyota) and they said they have tried all diagnostic checks on it. Itās not the battery, reset the computer etc and nothing is working. They said this happened to a similar Supra...
Iām with JAF now. They have two trucks to try to move it. Itās stuck in park so they canāt get it on a low truck. They are afraid of it hitting the back while getting out of parking lot.
for the last week the car is stuck. Itās in Park and too low to tow with the rear skirts. They havenāt been able to raise the car as theyāve been busy to manually put in neutral. If they do that, then we can push it to the lift and swap the exhaust. After that Toyota will look at it. A GR garage...
Does that seem like the likely cause? My old Japanese mechanic is at a loss. Even swapping a genuine battery, it needs to be coded or itās just like a dead battery?
I bought a JB4 system but I am a little afraid to try it with the battery being dead. We were told from Toyota (Not that it holds any weight) that the same battery swapped should start the car. I was contemplating hooking up the JB4 unit and trying to register the battery.
Sorry if my wording was hard to follow. I have a mechanic at my used car dealership I work at. He said he ordered a toyota battery specific to the car based on the chassis number from toyota. That did not start the car.
Looking for some help or insight, I have a 2020 Toyota Supra RZ in Japan. I don't drive it much and recently it was sluggish to start occasionally. I went to a 7-11 a couple weeks ago and the engine wouldn't start. It was able to jump start and I drove it home. I left a trickle charge on it a...
