Hi everyone,
Rusty from GR86 forum. I have been sharing Canadian allocations through the release of the GR. Please read thru the thread if you are curious about Canada's allocation/ordering process I have shared a lot of good info (i think :)...
I have a family member who owns a Toyota dealership and I actually spoke to them about manual Supra allocations and that some members on the forum got some.
He basically said the dealership is just locking in a future customer, and that no allocations have been given by Toyota to any...
And your going to need those "connections" and "angles" to get one within the next year or two!
I'm assuming that the first few years of allocations of Z06s will be going to Dealership owners and their close friends along with those closely tied to GM...Unless your a very large Vette dealership...
...that dealerships hate cars sitting on their lots: it ties up their cash flow, and could potentially contribute to less future factory allocations.
FYI - this dealer is near JM’s (aka Southeast Toyota) HQ. They said they were the #2 dealer nationwide. Not sure if they were blowing smoke, but...
Hi Adrian,
Thanks! I wanted it black, but "unfortunately" (first world problems I know) the sales person said they only had 2 allocations, one in blue for +£740 or one in Solid Lighting Yellow (free) so I went for yellow.
They said delivery is very unpredictable and struggled to follow, but...
My dealer her in the US knows nothing about allocations, arrivals etc. He’s simply taken small deposits to maintain an ordered list for when the time is right.
Yah, I placed my order for one in Portimao Blue on June 7th (first one to do so at this dealership). My dealer told me there was no information regarding allocations from Toyota Canada yet though, curious as to how your dealer knows for sure they're getting two :dunno:
I’ve put a deposit down at a dealer in Edmonton for a 2023 Supra. They say they have 2 allocations and I’ve got one of them. Anyone else have a deposit or order in for a 2023 in Canada?
Avondale Toyota! It's off the I-10 and 107th Ave. My friend told me that there are still no allocations yet, but as soon as they hear something they will let me know. They are a pretty high volume dealership so I wouldn't be surprised if the list for a MT Supra is in the double digits.
Which dealer? In AZ?
I was referred to a dealer in the PNW that took a deposit from me - at MSRP - for a 2023 6MT. That said, no allocation yet. I'm just 2nd on their list for when they do get allocations.
Haha all I’m waiting for is more GR Corolla info. My dealer has been incredibly forward about the fact they don’t know anything and can’t really do anything other than take my name down until they have a vspec for the cars.
My dealer told me BMW stopped taking special orders in 2020.. So while my dealer knows I have been waiting for a long while for a A91CF, they cannot take deposit as they have no idea when they would receive allocation. I suppose that's fair..
With the war going on, I don't expect to receive...
Obviously there were more LE’s, but they received several allocations for the LE and they are expecting to receive two A91-MTs.
However, I’m waiting for them to confirm that is the case before I sell my LE. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll get my deposit back. Win-win.
My dealer said the same. Which sucks because they’re the only one in my area that refuses to mark up vehicles except the new tundra apparently. Bought a 2022 at msrp that is in route now. I was told specifically they’d be lucky to even get two as they usually only get one new Supra a year. Every...
Hey all - has anyone heard anything about allocations for the A91-MT? I’ve spoken to a number of dealers and basically been told they can’t really take deposits because they don’t know if they’ll have an allocation. Curious if anyone else had been told different.
