What's the centre panel clip?

How did you get the blocks in there? Are they the same foam blocks as the ones I can see in the photo, i.e. in between the fixing for the narrow rear trim?

I started off with the EQ settings in the first post, but after time and multiple tweaks I ended up with settings that made the bass sound worse. Resetting back to the settings in the first post made a huge improvement to the bass. Even on the Justify My Love track. So I sat in the car for ages...

I think I'd like to do this next. Just need to muster up the courage to take the car apart.

So after more playing around with the equaliser, testing with different tracks and trying wired and wireless CarPlay I've come to the conclusion that there's no point spending money on upgrading the speakers or adding additional speakers until I've figured out where my vibrations are coming...

Aah. That's what you meant. ok...though I do tend to download the songs to my phone, but I guess even that is not at a great bitrate. that just adds to my dilemma....what's the point of spending money upgrading the system if my source is going to let it down.

I'll try with my phone connected using a USB cable. This is what I was thinking too. I wish I had the skills to do this myself.

I use wireless apple CarPlay. does that send the sound over bluetooth? Re EQ settings, I use the ones on this thread as a benchmark and then usually have to turn the bass down. The OEMAudio+ solution looks good, but there's no indication as to when it will be available.

I was thinking about getting one of those all-in-one sub/amp units, but I don't think they'll give me what I want. I think the only solution is to get a custom box built with a larger diameter subwoofer and a high-power single channel amp to drive it.

Hi, Yup, tried loads of the different settings that people have posted on the forum. I listen to mainly hip-hop and r&B, which might be why I'm more disappointed in the stereo. it's mostly ok when I'm listening to pop or old 80's stuff.

Hi Folks, Even after doing this mod, I'm still not happy with the sound. It's a real shame as I'm finally starting to enjoy this car and don't want to get rid of it. Could I ask a favour of those of you that have done the mod? Could you try playing Justify My Love by Madonna please? It came up...

Looks like I'll be sending yet another email to Toyota UK asking them to clarify something.

My car is telling me I need to to my first service in a year. Dealer also said to me servicing was every year not every 2 years like a lot of other cars I've had. I've not actually seen a service schedule printed anywhere.

Too many BMWs (2 x 330 verts, Z3, 7 x Z4s, 640 vert, 3 x MINI, X5) A few Porsches (2 x 911s, Panamera, 944 track car) A few Range Rovers (2 x sport, 1 x vogue - current daily) Honda S2000 Ferrari F430 Merc SL350 and a few more boring things I'm sure. plus a few motorbikes.
