The digital dash and HUD are awesome IMO. The rest is rather bland and uninspiring for a car like this. I really wish they took more queues from the FT-1 concept, and incorporated the whole "slingshot" aesthetic. If they're going for "feel" with this car, why not start with the interior?
To me, he was trying to reinforce the separation of both the Z4 and Supra by implying that the Supra would have a "Bespoke" interior. Yeah, the interior is technically bespoke, and different than that of the Z4, but it's using older BMW parts? That's just how i interpreted it. They continue to...
I guess Tada wasn't lying when he said even the shifters are different lmao. Now I find it hilarious that they continue to cover things up in the interior.
Okay now I get it lol. Sport mode is essentially the “manual” mode, allowing you to rev higher, whearas the normal mode will shift earlier for efficiency.
Meant to respond earlier, but i agree with what you’re saying. Also, it seems odd that Toyota would promise a 0-60 under 5.0, but then have production be under 4.0. That’d be the biggest troll move ever.
I’m a noob when it comes to all the new cars with different modes, etc, but is changing the rev range altogether from “comfort” mode to “sport” mode a normal thing? If so, what other cars do that? Being able to change the revs from 6700 to 7700 is kinda nuts to me lol
Strange that the Z4 does 0-60 in 4.4, but the M340i hits it in 4.2? From what we have speculated so far, the Z4 should be lighter too. What am I missing here?
@A70TTR - with the release of specs for the new M340i, it’s safe to say that BMW is utilizing the new motor Toyota co-developed right?
I don’t see the US Spec Supra getting the EU motor. If we do happen to get the top rated motor, can one assume that the Supra could quite possibly hit 0-60...
Okay so this video is interesting. around 16:55, you’ll hear Fredric Aasbø mention that something else is coming. Here’s a bit of context; prior to that comment, the JP Performance dude mentioned that he was expecting something more on par with the FT-1 instead of the “smaller” Supra.
Is there...
It’s a guess. Not a joke either lol. I think A70 mentioned that one of his sources stated that Supra would apparently be priced 20k more than the MSRP of the GT86
@A70TTR - there’s no chance that you’re gonna directly answer this lol, and i have absolutely no clue where these rumors are coming from, but is there even the slightest chance that the Supra is getting the S58 or at least some iteration of it? Figured if you can debunk it, it’d be a nice...
