Fair enough, anyone who is pushing crazy power anyway is going to have more engine mods that can not be as easily swapped over, the thinking behind this is not really to commit warranty fraud. But in the case that you are tuned and something like your adpative dampers fail and they try to blame...
Probably not a bad little solution until doing a dp or full exhaust. I did it on my 3.0 and almost 0 difference, its pretty big but fully empty and basically no perforations, it as straight through as it gets. for what it is worth on my friends 430i, same engine, we did res and secondary cat...

So ya OP did get a ticket for something that he caused and technically rightfully deserved, regardless if the cop is an asshole or not, but get off your high horse with the "illegal pollution spewing exhaust" you know how many large companies and manufacturing plants illegally dump pollutants...
yep mine does it on 93 and even more so on E50, I am not tuned for flames. Car makes 500 wheel hp 600 wheel torque. Tuned by @Marshall@ViscontiTuning with a catless downpipe and awe touring resonated. for the real big ones car has to get warmed up but then you get some really nice fireballs, do...
If an S58 powered supra comes that'll be good for power, but I am more interested in a manual. that would be fun. I wonder if any of this is really true tho or just speculation. Carbuzz has messed srtuff up before
yep market has exploded on these cars. Pretty nuts. I paid 48k for mine brand new at the beginning of the year. Now with 12k miles, It is still worth more than that.
