I think in opf cars it goes downpipe with built in cat, OPF pipes, and then resonator and then backbox or muffler, whatever you call it. I would say you are totally fine running a catless or higher flow catted downpipe. If you are worried about staying legalish, get an AA catted, uses GESI Cats...

Simple break down. In the USA all a91's are 2021 special editions that got the revised 6 port engine shared with the m340 and z4 m40i making 38x hp, while 2020's in the USA have the 2 port engine with 335hp that is unique to that car, it has its own model designation B58-xxx something I forgot...
