All the models in EU and UK have OPF (which totally mutes the car), even from the 2020 models. I've yet to get a proper answer from Toyota here in the nordic countries on what changes there is between the year models since we dont get the 6 port engine that the US get.
But since they dont know...
So much for the glorified build quality of Akrapovic. Not worth the money at all imho, but atleast the tips look cool.
May I ask why you guys went with the Akra instead of Remus or Millteks race variants? They offer more sound while still retaining the OPF and also being cheaper. Are they not...
You can easily tune them out. Also in normal mode there's barely any pops.
I mean, in order to disable the OPF codes you need a ECU flash so you might as well put in a stage 1 tune and turn of the pops if you don't like them.
Yeah you'll get a error code (P244A) if you remove the OPF. It doesnt show up straight away but eventually it will. Not sure if this was because I removed the OPF, but im pretty sure.
My tuner forgot to disable it in the beginning so after a couple of weeks I got the code, and then they...
Yeah im sure that's why I didnt opt for Akra. Too high price for the sound difference you get. But atleast they build top quality stuff. I'm sure with OPF removal and perhaps a different DP the sound will be great.
My Remus exhaust also rattles on coldstarts, and it's the damn valve. That's why I usually open the valve directly with Bimmerlink on coldstarts. Sounds even better too. Winwin ?
Hard to tell, but in my case it was the actual exhaust, in fact the silencer in the back of the car.
The cross bar in the middle also created some noises but they were more clunky metal noises sometimes when you drove over a pot hole, not constant rattle when in certain rpms and so on.
Rattle...
Yeah, you can either open the silencer and remove the shit inside.
Or switch to a 200 cell cat which is very lowkey.
But in order to really unleash the sound you must remove the OPF, but I guess that'll create problems for you in Germany. Here in Sweden we also have strict laws but nobody...
Yeah, sort of!
One of them could go near your house to pick up the signal and extend it to another one standing close to the car and ready to open the door when the signal is picked up. Then they can even start the car and drive off. Its scary how easy it is and I've seen several videos of this...
