Exhaust rattle?

My Akrapovic rattles briefly on startup... not worked out if its the valve or the sleeves yet.
The fact yours is doing it when hot has to be an expansion issue - check for length as well as clearance on height.

My Remus exhaust also rattles on coldstarts, and it's the damn valve. That's why I usually open the valve directly with Bimmerlink on coldstarts. Sounds even better too. Winwin ?

How's the sound on the akrapovic? Do you only have the muffler or the link pipe as well that replaces the OPF?

Currently just the silencer/muffler - but going CATless/OPF removal soon.
With just the muffler you get a slightly deeper tone, not significantly louder.

Yeah im sure that's why I didnt opt for Akra. Too high price for the sound difference you get. But atleast they build top quality stuff. I'm sure with OPF removal and perhaps a different DP the sound will be great.

I'm hoping it will keep things reasonably civil once the rest of the exhaust is done!
