Agreed. Reliability testing and engineering are two different things. Toyota did not engineer or partner with BMW to engineer the B58. In one interview Tadasan said that parts that didn't meet Toyotas requirement was only "suggested" to be changed.

I think Europe is also moving to all EV vehicles but not sure when. California will not allow any gas/diesel vehicles to be sold by 2035 and I hear CA is a huge market for car companies.

If money wasn't an option I'd take the LC500 over the Supra anyday. Couldn't even find a used LC500 that was close to the price of a new Supra when I was looking.

Many people here probably wanted a unique and fun vehicle to drive. The Civic Type R happen to be one of them. I too considered one since It was significantly cheaper than a Supra. I actually did take look at type r before I bought the Supra. It was was hard for me to get over the boy racer looks. It's not in the same performance category but the type r, according to MSRP, is close to $15k-$20k cheaper than the Supra depending on trim.

I use to own a 2006 Z4 m roadster. The mkv reminds me a lot of my old Z4 because of the size but the z4m roadster was more raw.
