I think that manuals, unfortunately, are a dying breed. The 86 only has a take rate of around 30% with the manual transmission. When I was at the dealer getting my 1000 mile oil change last week the sales guy says he can't move the manual (he sold me one!) transmission 86's and the only reason...
I just bought the Hakone in December. Had I known that the Supra 2.0 was coming out, I would have waited. That being said, the Hakone looks great and is extremely enjoyable to drive!
I am leaning heavily towards the 2.0 rather than than the 6 cylinder version. I think for my use, it will be sufficient. Add tune, and proper exhaust, it will be enough!
Hello! I don't have a Supra just yet, but I will be ordering a 2021 Supra 2.0 this summer. I just bought a manual 2020 Hakone 86 in December and even though I do enjoy driving it, I will (most likely) trade that in on the 2.0 Supra. I prefer manual sports cars, so I'll hang on to my 1995 Miata...
