It's not a single 'Master key', it's a 'Master Set'. Whatever the total # of keys there are for Toyota, they just have one of each. So if there are 20 possible sets, they just have 20 keys and find the right key. Unless you're talking about the true 'Master key' e.g. a 12 point socket hammered on.
Pretty sure it doesn't work that way.
Yes, the key and lockset may only be $50, but the keys/locks aren't entirely universal.
For $50 you may get key and lockset 'A'.
If you happen to currently have lockset 'A' on your car, then the key from it will work.
If you happen to have lockset 'E', then...
As long as your wife cares about you, I have a fool proof plan.
Step 1. Upgrade your turbos
Step 2. Let your wife see how bad traction is on the highway when the boost hits.
Step 3. Buy wider wheels and tires because 'safety.'
It all depends, mine were a bit worse before I changed them. They were okay in the dry, but were pretty terrible in the rain. Given that it rains a lot here, I opted for safety.
Personally, I think it's just a way around getting heat for having a 50k ADM. If you just wanted it to sit in the showroom so people could see it, then why not just say 'not for sale.' This way when someone does pay 50k, they can act like they're doing the person a favor and that they weren't...
To be fair I don't think it is a bad car.
It's just a bad car for the price. It's a bad car when compared to other cars for a similar price.
The starting at 40k was very misleading. Most people didn't think the base would be so stripped and that the upgrade to the next trim would be so much...
I got tired of all the boost lag, and wanted more of a 'driver's car'. So trying out Naturally Aspirated.
Forget the exact dtc, but it's 'Waste gate stiff' and it's not moving and trying to learn its positions on startup. At least it's stuck open rather than closed.
Got a few pictures from some photographers at the last autocross. The car definitely handles much better with all the grip. Pads and some brake fluid are definitely in order before the next one.
So glad they put the same tires on it so the internet can finally stop saying all it needs is tires and the z will win. That being said, if they lapped them both stock the difference would of been much greater.
Thanks and happy to help others know what fits so add away. Ig joe_liska
That's what the inside looks like. Haven't noticed any rubbing on compression. As others have mentioned it does contact the fender liners at full lock. So parking lots can be fun.
