Brake fluid is a 2 year service interval not based on mileage. Although 2 years is conservative, so what I do is I bought a brake fluid tester online and I test my brake fluid till it detects water in my brake fluid system, that’s my notification telling me to change it.

Gotta get them reprogrammed I’d say. Mine did the same, shop struggled for an hour or two and eventually I reset it on manual mode and it worked. Biggest key is to clear codes!! It won’t work unless you clear codes. I’d try that before heading back
