That's basically how it works even without a defouler. Sometimes it comes on and sometimes it doesn't. So basically it's not working the same as not having them wouldn't work to prevent a CEL. lol

Would be interested to hear others that this one has worked for them. I think this was mentioned in like the first thread I found on here last Jan and it didn't work for anyone. Wonder if it works differently on 2port vs 6 as well.

Fun fact, I read this and thought to myself... I should check my BootMod3 settings (I had a suspicion my valves weren't working correctly) I was right, my exhaust is now loud af again with plenty of pops. Lol. The dumb ass "open" setting for exhaust sport mode was fighting itself apparently...

If you're unlocked you can use a custom tune (any platform) or any map on BootMod3 to control the exhaust flap function. I use an OTS BootMod3 map and can adjust in the map settings. Alternatively, you can control it manually with your phone from the Bimmerlink app

2021 3.0 I got the warning twice and never again after 4200mi, including a super hard track day in there. I'm at 10k now, changing the oil tomorrow for the 3rd time in preparation for track day this weekend. Now that I'm thinking about it... Got a low warning at 3600mi and added 1qt...

Fair. I'm currently on the FI downpipe with a CEL canceller that doesn't work. I'm also tuned in BM3 and that shit doesn't work to code out the CEL so idfk lol

Yeah, on the Supra you usually see front vented a majority of the time since there so many solutions to do so, and/or the rear if either the rear bumper is cut like on @JackieD86 car, or if the body kit has built in vents.

Pressure needs to release from the wheel wells so this helps with that. Same for the vents you see cut in the hood above the wheels, and fenders like EVS that are huge cutaways
