There was nothing to really fix it just a grueling process that imo idk if its worth it. Alot of end users start getting upset when we are on revision 30 :D
This was the last 93 MT car we did.
They are definitely doable just this is about as far as i can take them so far. Maybe 10-20 more HP and thats even with an Eblend.
If anyone has issues ive never turned them away but I just dont know who wants to sit and do 20-30 logs to get it this good...
Ive actually worked on quite a few more. Shoot me your most recent log. You should honestly get a hypercore lol. Lets mess around with it on a MT. I would honestly get you one at cost so we can test. Just dont kill me if your MT tells us to F off.
Ahhh hahah Yes and no.
Built motor at his state will be pretty expensive with sleeving and machining. So all depends on overall goals. anddddd budget lol.
Its pretty easy the biggest thing with upgraded turbos is watching fueling with ethanol. Best to use race gas, or add meth. If not will just have to keep boost limited.
The DAW Flow Max works really well same with pure800. Both shine with meth.
A test car (gen 1 b58) picked up 27 whp just by dropping it in zero tuning changes, I can't say what you would pick up as that's never been done with a fully stock tune car. Would make for a cool test though.
Yes for this particular turbo it is that easy to install.
For other turbo setups they come with the manifold and you replace your oem one. Along with new turbo housings on the hot and cold side.
Very comparable. Imo DAWs don't have the quality issues pure did. Pures seemed to have seal failures quite often. For the most part I don't think it's much of an issue anymore, but I've stopped selling them due to that.
No. These are not comparable. 1 is a full turbo and manifold replacement the other (hypercore) just bolts right in. Dont have to take out the manifold.
I dont think this turbo will have the oil issues of the past with a whole new housing and manifold which have done really well on the Gen 1s.
Also for those comparing power level of other turbos vs pure850s I dont think that makes much sense considering pure 850s have gone high 8s for 2 years...
