Even when Toyota makes a $90K version (RC-F), it sucks to drive (IMO at least)... but I do love listening to Mustangs (the top-tuned V8 models at least). I've found there is definitely a replacement for displacement, so I can't ever see driving another V8 GT car myself.
I think it makes a bit...
I'm simultaneously glad and sad that the problems I've experienced at my local Toyota dealership are the case of a broader "pandemic of incompetence" and not just my own bad luck. ;)
Do you even have "desert heat" in Reno? Even if you're coming down south for those "occasional pulls" you won't have any issues as long as the "occasional" part holds. I worried the first summer a bit, but not anymore. Factory system is pretty good at draining that heat away quickly -...
Yeah. If Honda didn't make it so hard (and expensive) to get RWD... I'd never have left the brand in the first place. Put >300K miles on my first Civic on 2 clutches over that whole period (11 years). Then again it had less than a third of the torque that the MKV has.
Of course it's a wear item... so are brakes... but if you had to have new pads and rotors after less than 1K miles... I'd definitely be demanding warranty replacement for that as well. Sadly, without an attorney, they can (and will) be dicks about it. Unless they can prove deliberate abuse...
I just hope they hired someone out of state to handle the surfacing... like a random bunch of guys hired out of the home depot parking lot. Because based on how NDOT has handled all of the other roads in Vegas... they're not nearly that qualified.
I think it could definitely be as desirable as a MK4... if you waited a similar amount of time. Based on almost every high-appreciation limited edition vehicle auctioned in the past 50 years... yes, it should be completely stock, driven less than 500 miles per year, and kept in an...
Agreed on the last part... unsurprising on the first part however. This city has always been home to the "fantastic failures" entertainment-wise. At least since the Sinatra & Sammy Davis Jr. days. Most A-list celebrities have a house (or two) here... but they tend to perform here only after...
I seriously doubt they're just having a good laugh... they'll do that when they release a car for $85K with $8K(ish) worth of upgrades - and watch dealers sell them at $110K.
Agreed on the underwhelming in comparison statement... but I missed where I can actually buy a Tacoma X Runner...
About the only upside to a fleet vehicle over a standard used car (as others pointed out) would be the fact that there is a fleet manager dedicated to making sure it's properly maintained and/or repaired. Of course, they're a human being so they could be totally incompetent at their job. ;)
If...
I'm thinking the design team was under the assumption that they were working on something to be shown in 3-4 years, but the executives demanded they deliver something for this show.
"Uhhhh... we've only got this rough draft... and I mean rough?!? OK... OK... you're the boss... we'll load it...
They may get around that with this design since there's a tiny sliver of it that's fixed and the rest seems to open less than 2". At a guess those won't make it to production due to cost and reliability - even if they could skirt the regulations somehow.
If anything even remotely close to this design reaches production, I can virtually guarantee they'll drop the full vertical lines and just follow the lines at the bottom of the light - keeping with their "bent L" style lights. Agree those would be insane... but most concept cars wouldn't fare...
So now the C8 markups can simply start at the price of a Camaro and work their way up from there... nice.
Lucky on that "re-issue" however... because the one thing we don't have nearly enough options for today is an SUV.
That actually seems quite reasonable for the parts... but WTF on that labor? No way a qualified shop should require close to 8 hours to do all 4 wheels - including quite a few smoke breaks in between each - let alone just 2 wheels!
I remember when I went from my ~300K mile SiR (front clip swapped 91 CRX) to a brand new 350Z many years ago...
Nothing makes you appreciate how nearly perfect Honda manuals are until you drive something else. It's a shame they don't make more RWD/AWD options.
Although considering I purchased at the very beginning of 2020... and 60 days later you could easily get deals well under MSRP I guess maybe this would be more fitting:
Nearly always some form of doom metal... whether classic (Sabbath, Trouble, Witchfinder General) or modern (Acid Mammoth, Lowrider, Truckfighters) depends on the day.
Currently:
Although I have the entire catalog of Steely Dan, Clutch, and Megadeth albums as well when I want something a bit...
I may be old but I'll consider growing up after I'm dead. ;)
I find many anime/manga series (seinen titles more than shonen, naturally) to be much more intellectually challenging and diverse than any of the live action crap put out by hollywood these days. Not to mention the artwork is...
