Un-fkn-believable. What a drive. From the pit lane to a podium.
From P19 to P13, a puncture! Last again, to P3. No rain, no safety car that helped him, nothing. Just pure, raw talent.
Lewis from P13 "Can't do anything from here"
Max from the pit lane, "hold my RedBull"
Insane.
I loved that Bearman did so good! I was really enjoying his battle with Piastri until the VSC ruined that too.
Russell is a little bitch. The other drivers call him Georgina 🤣 nobody likes that prick.
There was an incident in the 70's in South Africa where a car hit a Marshal running across the track. He was carrying a fire extinguisher and it hit the driver in the head instantly killing him. The Marshal was obliterated. The way they identified him, was they gathered all the Marshals and...
He was cleared for how he re-entered the track, so there was no issue there. The only issue they had was that he gained a place while he was doing that. If he had slowed down and let Max by, he wouldn't have gotten a penalty.
As far as Max's tactics in T1, that's how the rules are written, so...
10 seconds is the minimum penalty now, after Russell yeeted past Albon intentionally in Monaco.
Hamilton's penalty was for gaining an advantage, not how he got back on track. When Hamilton went off, he was behind Max. When he got back on, he was 2 seconds in front of Bearman and Max.
Only disappointing moment was the VSC. Was unnecessary with Sainz out of the way. Would've been een epic pass after a long hunt.
Hamilton and Max barely touched. In no way was that a collision.
After last weekend it's not that impossible as it once seemed. If it rains in Brazil anything can happen. We know that's where Max is super strong. Mexico is called MAXico for a reason, and Lando will be helping Max by wanting to beat Oscar. If Lando keeps getting P2's, Oscar will fall short, as...
So far the Mercedes and Ferrari's have been helping Max. He lost 7 points in Singapore to Russell, but he beat the McLaren's so he still had a net gain in a place where they thought they would lose out. As long as he outscores Piastri by an average of 8 points a weekend, he can get it done. And...
100%. I've watched F1 for well over 30 years, and he's just an old school no BS driver. IMO the top 3 EVER are Senna, Schumacher, and Max. Arguments can be made who the best is of the 3, but nobody else comes close, that I've seen. Clark, Fangio, that was before my time so I can't comment on that.
If Oscar has another DNF today it's on. Oscar and Lando will be damn near even and Max if he wins only 30 behind with 5 races to go.
Please God let it happen.
