Such an amazing classic. I've always had a special place for the 1972 Toyota Celica GT. Would love to have that car as a project car and have it similar to this build in the link. It's such a muscle look in such a JDM car. Much like the old school skylines. Love them. I'd go a different route...
I had the same fears. Recently had this happen to me. Spoke to manager at my local Discount Tire, he had his most seasoned guy look at it and knew what he was doing. He was explained my fear of wheel scratches and damage. He was super careful. He even let me back in the bay myself.
I THINK, it's because people associate someone taking the time to leave an opinion that is not "looks good, love it" etc as "hate." I think that leaving no comment shows you don't like, but taking the time to say you don't like, is seen as hate. Just my two cents. But I see what you mean.
The Supra isn't as bad as all the unnecessary parts/high expense parts if you owned an Evo before, haha. Anyone remember ARC? :p Oh yea and that JDM Ralliart stuff..
How bad are the holes? If you opt for a fix/respray, depending on where you go, expect 600-1k most likely. Before my dealer took care of it, the quote was around 800 for a good reputable shop at the time.
Also, if you decide to do this, I'd say sooner than later. Sun fade can make color...
Exactly. Also, at the end of the day it's YOUR car and you can do whatever you want that brings you joy. "Opinions are like ass....oles, everyone has one."
