Tire

Well got a low pressure warning on my way home from Prescott on right rear tire. I'm in a rural area north of Prescott. Should I just go to any tire shop and trust them fixing it. I do have the jack puck. I'm just hoping they don't scratch or damage the wheel. I do see the screw on the tire. Been many moons ago having this happen.

I had the same fears. Recently had this happen to me. Spoke to manager at my local Discount Tire, he had his most seasoned guy look at it and knew what he was doing. He was explained my fear of wheel scratches and damage. He was super careful. He even let me back in the bay myself.

Discount Tires (America's Tire) usually has the proper mounting equipment for these wheels. You're looking for shops with Hunter touchless mounters.. and the proper tech that knows what he's doing.

If you go to shops that do not have this equipment, chances are they will mark your wheels all over. I've had this happen on my 370Z wheels long time ago trusting my local tires store. HUGE mistake.

Trust your gut.. if he looks like an idiot, he is.

Also, if the puncture is a small nail or something, the off-the-shelf plugs actually work quite well. I've repaired several my tires in my life time using those plugs and none failed.

Sorry to hear you have a nail in your tire. There are Discount Tire locations in Prescott Valley or Prescott that can fix it with their touchless machines. If you have any concerns please ask for the Manager.
