You do understand that if BMW says NO MULTIPLE TRIM it wont change how much you petition Toyota right....beating a dead horse here.
Just wait, you're petitioning a Rumor here : /
Also if we're going by the corporation as a whole the LC is the Halo car. I do get the gripe with the Toyota Halo...
I figured in the new Toyota and to meet the Mission and Vision they have to do a GLOBAL car. Which means it can be sold everywhere, I got a sense that our Hero Engineer Tada San might have gotten some kick back internally too. But I'm thinking Mr. Toyoda still gave the money to the team so that...
Fair point, but then if Toyota launched a Supra, say it worked with someone that's not Mazda and put in a V6. People still be up in arms about it. "It's not a Supra because it doesn't have an I6" etc etc. If money wasn't the issue then why not make their own new version of an I6 do everything in...
Hmm that's not exactly a fair assessment, and this isn't like 86 where Toyota was paying most of the bills and can push some buttons to get Subaru to do things.
I believe if Toyota wanted to do another trim or to have two trims with different powers or grades and BMW refuses. Then it's game...
Hmm... here is a good question....
Which TSS? Toyota's own TSS (like the one in the current car)?(Camry) Toyota TSSP2.0 like what's rolling out on the 2019 cars (Coralla HB, Avalon)
Or some franken heavy ass BMW system? Or something else all together
Willing to bet there's a story behind...
Yeah you're right, and lol am I the only one that hoped we got a Toyota Steering wheel either something similar to the first gen 86 or what's in the Corolla HB, Avalon, Camry lol. I don't mind that Cruise control stock it's nice and easy to use.
I also might have been the only one that wanted...
Hmm I think a good example or a baseline to go by would be how Japan did their 86, IIRC they had a model that you can buy with nothing inside and it just had steelies for wheels.
I'm also of the group that doesn't trust the given numbers in this thread. I don't think that it being around 50K...
Exactly, the smart thing to do is to launch two version, even a limited run of one with out the extra tech. I don't think they'll remove the safety tech, that goes against Toyota's vision. They have to remain at the top for future of mobility and safety is something that should never be...
I know that we don't always needed to be reminded of this but us enthusiast represent a very small number, the car needs to be competitive and attractive to people who aren't enthusiast. Therefore, it needs to have features that we consider heavy and not needed but for someone else it's a must...
I believe alot of Toyota/Lexus are now built with Chinese markets in mind. The latest Lexus ES is one of those cars I think, reviews for it came out today and lots of media mention American ES and Chinese ES etc.
I know a lot of people don't like it, but I'd be ok with a 4 Turbo with Manual if it's reasonably priced that is lol I guess if I ever get a chance to live in a Foreign country I can always get one of these other variants.
I'm hoping that this doesn't turn into an issue like the 86 where one team wants to increase the power while the other doesn't allow it. I got a feeling there may be back lash from BMW.
There are also sometimes deals that are puzzling. For example the Abarth 124 isn't sold here in the full...
Actually, in my opinion it's not even Toyota or anything to get us fired up and disappointed. I got a feeling it's just some random person claiming to be a valid source trying to poke a hornets nest.
Not saying it's Guff we're friends so I know he doesn't do awful shit like that, however...
I think it will still sell just for the same reason something like an RC300 sells. I mean there's nothing significant that makes it stands out, it's not anything in the segment and it's overpriced. People still buy it, same thing this with this spec whatever it is(I won't call it a Supra) at...
In that list only the things I agree with is the safety tech,I dunno at the rate of these people crashing their "86" and blaming it on some superstitious "curse" I think I welcome all the safety tech : ) even if it adds some weight.
