Took out the broken standoffs and used some longer m2 screws from my laptop screw set to screw in to the remaining part of the standoff. Fixed for now.
From the factory? I bought the car new in 2023. The rattle only started about a month or so ago and got worse to the point of me losing my mind enough to pull the trunk cover off
I’ve noted a worsen rattle going over bumps. Dropped the cover off the trunk and noted this module is loose due to 3 small broken screw stand offs. I’ve never messed with the trunk before so I know I haven’t caused this. If anyone else is having this issue might be a good idea to check one of...
Your rotors may be stuck if they are rusty. Feels like the ebrake is on. Happened to me when I first picked up my Supra, washed it and it was parked for a couple of days.
Is there any indication otherwise that the ebrake is engaged?
It is time for another oil thread. Yes, very good.
Jokes apart, I agree and run 0w-30.

But to be honest will this make a significant difference compared to Liqui Moly 5w-30?
Will the 0w-30 vs 5w-30 save my B58 from needing new rod bearings? Probably...
That’s exactly what I’m wondering, if this version of Toyota ISTA would let me get a cluster or ecu to work. I don’t want to ever deal with Toyota service ever and rather just do everything myself.
Interested in going through all this and updating the software. I do have a question for those of you who have done this. Does ISTA allow you to code/program new modules to the car? For example is this the same software that the dealership would use to program a new ecu to the car?
not trying to purchase a pre 6/20 from Toyota. Like you said, that’s not possible.
let’s say your dme got bricked for whatever reason. Toyota should be able to replace it and program it to your specific vin to work with your car/keys etc.
I believe it probably has to be a brand new dme that’s not associated with any other VIN.
A quick search online and seems like a new dme from Toyota for a 2023 MT is roughly 1300 dollars. I’m going to drop by the local dealership and see how much they’ll charge for programming a new DME.
I’ve been lurking here for a while and reading up on tuning. I have a MT and really want to have 2 DMEs (keeping 1 of them bone stock for back up, smog , if DME is lost/bricked).
I know that the MT DMEs are different and cant be cloned to <6/2020 unlock-able DMEs.
HOWEVER, I was thinking: What...
I’m interested in a new wheel. The first one with the blue stripe, could you make one without the stripe and the lower carbon fiber touch? I’d like a wheel which is closer to stock.
