Went to install the mirror tap for my new radar detector and with the tap installed my Homelink buttons don’t respond on the mirror. Now one of the pins is broke on the tap, so I have to order a new one.
Managed to snag a spare set of stock wheels. Plan on having those done. Still deciding, but a bronze color is likely leading the pack. The Dark Bronze II someone posted above looks like the Brass Monkey color wheels my friend has on his Hellcat, which might be a contender. Wife likes the Mag...
I've never done one of these personally, but if they say it's not really troubling I would defer to them since this is there livelihood. Perhaps do another test for each of the next couple regular changes to confirm that the numbers trend in the right direction if you want peace of mind.
Late to the party, but figured I'd leave this here.

I got a Phantom and put XPEL Stealth on it. I'm happy with how it turned out and am confident that it can be safely removed when desired. It's my daily driver.
P.s. Nothing wrong with putting PPF on the car. My dealer even helped me get a deal on it from the company that wraps their company...
Now I just need to figure out what colors/finishes look good with Phantom. I really like the Bronze Chrome, might be nice with the matte grey of the car. Anyone with a Phantom Supra got pics of refinished wheels on their car?
It may be important to refer to the beginning of the highlighted section on the preceding page (pg. 297) for context, as it explicitly limits use of the "Alternative engine oil types," including the one you mentioned (0W-30), to up to 1 US quart/liter if the Toyota Genuine Motor Oil SN 0W-20 C5...
Ended up buying two Perrin front license plate kits. These things are expensive. I’m looking to sell the extra kit for $50 (including Priority Mail domestic shipping). It’s open, but complete. I bought the second kit because the first one had incorrect threading and ended up stripped, and I...
Totally want to see about getting a good shop here locally to do it, as working on my car is certainly not my area of expertise. I posted in a local thread for San Antonio owners on here, hoping someone has a good shop they can recommend. I'll have to check with the Radar-Mirror folk to make...
Thanks! That would be great.
I’m in the early data-gathering stage right now. Curious about where the emitters best belong on the front and rear in particular. I think there is an optimal height range for those things. Pretty sure the radar receiver can be placed behind plastic bumpers. Just in...
Looking for electronics installer recommendations from San Antonio area folks. Who has done good work installing things like camera systems and other electronics in your Supra. I'm looking to get quotes for installing a 2ch (Blackvue or similar) dash cam system and possibly an installed...
I think we may be talking about different things. This other thread (https://www.supramkv.com/threads/radar-detector-laser-jammer-installation.2040/) has some folk who have had great success tapping their regular radar detectors off the box on the windshield behind the mirror.
I’m wondering...
Curious if anyone on here have installed one of the Escort radar detector setups in their Supra. I've seen the thread with all the different ways to mount a regular detector, but I'm interested in learning more about whether folk have attempted the more integrated system yet. I'm curious about...
Irony is when I was shopping for a blue A91 the closest one I could find (this was a month ago) was at a dealer just north of Phoenix (I'm in San Antonio). So to hear this guy had to go out of state to get his, while I ended up with a Phantom, reminds me how crazy it is to go shopping for an...
Update: I ended up buying another kit while I waited for Perrin to respond (they've been swamped lately), and the new kit went on without issue. The guy from Perrin called me today...apparently there were a small number of the first batch of these kits that where threaded in such a way that they...
Congratulations to you guys!
Check with the dealer too in case they have a company that does wraps/PPF for them. My dealer referred me to the detailer they use to wrap their vehicles and they gave me the price they charge the dealer for work, which saved me several grand as compared to other...
