I wonder if the USB and AM options are simply being hidden by default and can simply be restored by using the options? I used that to remove satellite radio from my list because I don't want it - but if I lost USB and AM entirely, I'd be back at the dealership that day... that's 95% of my use.
Yeah but when was that written? I remember when it wasn't going to be a problem to get a new GPU because they were going to make plenty of them too - or for that matter when toilet paper wasn't a rare commodity.
Glad I'm not the only one... for a minute there I thought either they were having a stroke or I was. ?
Although after some of the Biden addresses lately... I'm getting better at understanding stream of consciousness word salads.
The primary advantages of a FF platform car are economy and simplicity IMO. I'd be totally fine with one as a grocery-getter or disposable commuter vehicle. However paying close to $40K for one that not longer gets fantastic gas mileage and is constantly fighting for traction even in optimal...
I wish people would quit rewarding companies for "collectable cuz we said so" campaigns... but since that won't ever happen, I'm guessing they'll be having a lottery so the 30 or so people that will line up can fight over it.
I'm a bit surprised to see Tom's engaged in this shameless...
I think that the biggest issue will be that 90% of the failures will be at the worst possible time... when you actually needed to remove it and it simply disintegrates in the bung. Not sure how often that occurs and what factors are relevant - but I know here in the desert, anything plastic...
The diversity of results from this update fills me with doubt. It makes sense considering it's a full update of everything... but my faith in all those changes being beneficial is lacking to say the least.
Not that I wouldn't be more than happy to have far less throttle lag... I'd love that.
If that... lots and lots of new tighter regulations are likely to be passed this year (and in the coming 2 as well). Naturally they won't take effect immediately, but if they're stiff enough and expensive enough to tool for - it's entirely possible that manufacturer resources will get diverted...
LOL... well, that's where the "ish" comes in (and maybe "nice" is a bit overstated). Still, at our favorite sushi spot, my wife and I would get about 8 dishes and pay around $60 (including tip) - now we drop over $100 on the same thing at the same place.
Same... and that's if things...
Oh I've definitely been there before... and have an office, a couple closets, and most of my garage full of the less than optimal attempts at "budget friendly solutions". Now I'm more inclined to either wait a bit, or just go full beans - like you're doing on this install.
If you hold on to it long enough... then just about any clean, performance-oriented ICE vehicle is likely to appreciate. Add in the fact that we're printing dollars faster than shipping toilet paper apparently... and it's nearly guaranteed.
Naturally it will still lose actual value for a very...
Sadly the media isn't the issue there. The headunit handles decoding of numerous lossless formats including WAV so you can easily put ~25 CDs worth on the internal storage and 100's on a thumb drive at full 16/44.1k resolution.
If you listen through the factory setup however... it will still...
LOL... I've had some projects that had this level of cost-creep - but never car audio. Should sound about as perfect as is possible with this chassis when you're done! Of course, it damn well should considering all the coin you're throwing at the problem. ?
If you haven't already, I would recommend grabbing the PDF guide in this thread. That's what I used for almost everything I coded. I used an iPad for mine, so I didn't have to mess with airplane mode - but I did find that it helped to have it 100% charged and I held it fairly close to the OBD...
Yes. Or it will automatically be put back by a full update flash (like the current recall will perform). Unless you really dig deep into options that aren't applicable to the Supra... it's all just turning things on or off that are already present in the ECU/iDrive anyway.
It would be interesting to note whether the majority of the bricked ECUs are happening on MY21's or just a random distribution amongst all. Could be yet another reason to be happy about missing out on all that "free" HP by getting a MY20?
You won't regret it... there's at least 5 options that (IMO naturally) are worth $30 each. It's like buy 1 get 4 free in that sense.
