I bought a set of factory wheels off of another '21 Supra owner with the intention of powder coating them, so I am the second owner. I was told by the original owner, who replaced them with aftermarket wheels, that they have approximately 1000 miles on them and are ceramic coated. I have...
I have a Blendmount BMG-2017 for sale, along with the associated MIRRORTAP MTX-1015 wire, and Escort EZ Mag Mount in used condition. I used this with my Escort Redline 360c for nearly a year without issue. I'm moving on to a different car, and am selling my '21 Supra. I don't have the original...
I have a Perrin License Plate Relocate Toyota Supra 2020+ for sale in used condition. This is the tow-hook receptacle style front license plate holder, that resides on the driver-side front of the car. You can find plenty of pictures on this forum and elsewhere as to how this may look on your...
I have a set of unused ZL1 Addons Rock Guards (Front & Rear Combo) that I bought back in mid-February 2021 but ultimately didn't install. I only just today opened the box to ensure the parts were as ordered. Because I ended up having my car completely wrapped in PPF, I opted to not install them...
Hi everyone,
I'm getting ready to sell off my '21 Supra, so there are some items that I would like to offload. I'm placing the items in the Member Marketplace forum here, but I figured it might be helpful to put this post up to link to each item so folk in the area may see something interesting...
I have a Genuine Toyota GR Supra MKV 3.0L Oil Change Kit that I bought when I was panicking about getting my 10k oil change done while the kits were on global backorder (which I understand they still are). I ordered it from a Toyota dealer in another state, and it arrived the same day I ended up...
No worries. All the variations by market can be sort of funny. Honestly, it's a mystery to me why it isn't standard here the States as well. You could hide an aircraft carrier in the blindspot of these cars, so BSM isn't just a luxury it's a necessity. I wouldn't drive this thing without it.
Admittedly I haven't gone back through to make sure this wasn't posted already, but I thought it might be helpful to some if I shared this rather informative video talking about the oil sensor that we all rely on instead of a dipstick. Please ignore the clickbait title.
He's probably correctly mentioning blindspot monitoring not being standard. It's part of the optional Driver Assist Package on the 3.0 Premium (or Safety & Technology Package on the 2.0 and 3.0 non-premium).
Am I misreading the manual? The only oil weight they list in there under pages 297-298 "Suitable engine oil types" is the GR branded 0W-20 (which I find ridiculous on it's face, but yet there it is). Under "Alternative engine oil types" it says you can add up to 1 quart/liter of other oil...
I second that. I have seen posts on this very site where other people have quoted the owners manual incorrectly. Page 297-298 should tell you what you need to know.
OP,
I've found that there is a lot of conflicting, misleading, or downright wrong information being passed around online about all things oil and this car. Your best bet is to take it to the dealer and have them work with you on this. Despite my dealer not really helping me to my satisfaction...
You had me doubting myself, so I went back to the manual.
For launch control the manual has you enter TRACTION MODE, which is one press of the VSC button (page 131). The VSC OFF light will be on, but there will be a TRACTION notation on the instrument cluster.
"Traction mode is a version of...
That angle wasn’t so great, but when he pans over to the rear wheels the design looks to me to be identical to those on the 2.0. Not sure if red brakes or not since I have trouble manipulating the video on my phone. Could just be a refresh to 19” wheels in this design for
2023, or could just be...
I have no experience with Corvettes but I love the look of the one you have. While I have the Phantom matte grey Supra, I'm also a sucker for white cars like that with blacked out trim and wheels. Looks really nice.
I do prioritize handling and reliability in my cars, however, and so far the...
I’m no expert but isn’t there a charcoal filter on the fuel tank vent to deal with vapor? Could the tank perhaps have been overfilled causing the filter to be saturated in fuel?
Update: I was looking around and found a nice video that could describe a scenario why this might be happening.
