Most of the dealers in California that I have dealt with were very happy to upsell on things like wheels, coatings, alarms, etc. I figure if they try to be sneaky and add those one, that's probably not a dealer worth wasting your time and money with. I'd personally be willing to just buy out of...
My biggest caveat the STI and 400Z are the engines. The FA24 isn’t yet proven and I can’t imagine it would hold 600+ hp. The highest horsepower VR30 is 800 whp but it’s on a built block and even has factory support. If these engines end up making power, great! But I have my doubts.
I would have to assume you bleed it. The coolant system for the AC and intercooler is very important and it seems that not bleeding it is just asking for problems down the line.
No, I told them not to flash my car when I got an oil change last week and they didn't. I put a piece of duck tape over the OBD2 port and it was still there.
He's wrong. Bump steer is a result of suspension geometry. Revised bump stops would only help if it prevented the suspension from fully cycling, which I highly doubt they did and the rest of the changes were just tuning and electronics related. Also, it seems that all the bump steer concerns...
I don't agree, personally. For one, he never actually says what he wishes was different about it. It seems most of his complaints still stem from the fact that it's a BMW (I don't deny this one), and it is still somewhat of a nostalgia trip. I also dislike the comparisons he drew between cars...
I'm still doubtful it's true bumpsteer. I can't imagine that BMW would make such a large oversight on the CLAR platform. I'm sure that it would have been caught in prototypes, testing, and even just the principles they use to build these cars.
I assume you changed the offset of the wheel. If you went with a lower ET like I am guessing, you changed the scrub radius. I am fairly certain extending the center line of the wheel farther outside the stock scrub radius would increase leverage and therefore increase the force transmitted...
If I was in your position, I'd buy a high mileage A80. Maybe even a R32. Something like that I can't see depreciating significantly and you could also drive it and not feel bad. I didn't consider that this is your fun car. I use the Supra as a daily driver so not having a manual is a benefit in...
Hello everyone, I went to the dealership today to get a free oil change. While they were there I told them to do an alignment because it was off slightly due to some rough roads. When I went to pick it up, they said they couldn't do said alignment due to one-time use bolts? I have no clue what...
The only cars that can really crack 7's are almost unrelated from their factory counterparts. I'd assume you'd need at minimum 1500-2500hp to even get close to a 7, which I don't think is going to happen for a while. I know there is one company chasing a 7 with the A90, but I don't think the car...
